Good thread Nadia. By the way the name of the month is Ramzan. There is no D in it. This is like in Lahore they say Pah (brother) Ramzan. Arabs distort this beautiful language when they replace Z with D, and Q with G (Qul, vs. Gul etc.)

Be truthful, trustworthy, and tolerant at least in this month. This is what Messenger saw showed us much before the time Jibrael’s arrival on the scene.
i don't care about the spelling, okay. That's not gonna get me into heaven or hell frankly speaking.
The essence of the month ---> i am slightly more concerned about this.

Hate to turn this nice thread into the spellings of Ramzan. Urdu Ramzan comes from Arabic as well. Proper Arabic spelling is Ramzan as well. Arabs tend to change the sound of some letters like Q or Z (to G and D). That's not kosher to change the sounds of a "Mugaddas" language.

In Arabic, the letter 'Zuaad' is some times pronounced with sound of 'D'. So its not the spelling thing, its the pronunciation thing.
It's not Ramazan, Ramzan, Ramadhan or Ramdhan.
It is Ramazuan or Ramadhuan.

OK! Arabic language is missing letters for P, or hard D, R etc. For example Bakistan instead of Pakistan may be OK.
Still Arabic does have Z for Zuaad. It will be stupid to write
"Fadal Deen" for a guy named "Fazal Deen",
"Mohammad Afdal" for "Mohammad Afzal"
"Radia" instead of "Razia".
"Gamar" instead of "Qamar",
"Haggi" instead of "haqqi"
and I can go on.

Difference between Arabic and Urdu is clear from my examples above.
That's precisely why I am pointing the difference to "Urdu Speakers" that they don't have to be Pakistanis Trying to Ape Arabs (PiTAA).
