Good thread Nadia. By the way the name of the month is Ramzan. There is no D in it. This is like in Lahore they say Pah (brother) Ramzan. Arabs distort this beautiful language when they replace Z with D, and Q with G (Qul, vs. Gul etc.)
On a serious note:
Be truthful, trustworthy, and tolerant at least in this month. This is what Messenger saw showed us much before the time Jibrael’s arrival on the scene.

Hate to turn this nice thread into the spellings of Ramzan. Urdu Ramzan comes from Arabic as well. Proper Arabic spelling is Ramzan as well. Arabs tend to change the sound of some letters like Q or Z (to G and D). That's not kosher to change the sounds of a "Mugaddas" language.
And Nadia spelled it right.:o Arabics dont distort the language, they pronounce it correctly with a D, because the Quran is written in Arabic.Saying Ramadan would be the correct way, if we go by logic, because thats how it was written in the Quran.
hmm..arabs dont know how to pronounce their own language? thats a first...come out of pakistani /desi centered mentality and see that there is really a world out side of pakistani slum you are in.
antiobl should be commended for highlighting the most important issue facing us muslims at this time.. maybe its part of the spiritual purification routine- get your spellings right?
Frankly, who cares if its called ramzan or ramadhan... or sawn or roza.... namaz, salah or prayer?

OK! Arabic language is missing letters for P, or hard D, R etc. For example Bakistan instead of Pakistan may be OK.
Still Arabic does have Z for Zuaad. It will be stupid to write
"Fadal Deen" for a guy named "Fazal Deen",
"Mohammad Afdal" for "Mohammad Afzal"
"Radia" instead of "Razia".
"Gamar" instead of "Qamar",
"Haggi" instead of "haqqi"
and I can go on.
Where is your own thinking cap O Pakistanis?
Pakistanis who insist on mutilating words so that they can be more close to Arabs is simply wrong. Insisting on wrong spellings simply shows mental slavery.
You were trying to teach us how to spell Ramadhan, not Bakistan! As for most of the rest of your post, you obviously don’t know the difference between Arabic and Urdu (especially in pronunciation).

Typical piece of M*Too PiTAA logic. Baba! Go ahead and ape Arabs.
This Arab aping has gone too far. 30+ Pakistani-Shias just got bombed. Pakistani-Ahmadis live in fear, and Pakistani-Christians are gunned down routinely.
All this while M*Too PiTAAs live in the safety of Christian lands like UK and US.

I take it you agree with my statement then!! Your comment about “Arabic language is missing letters for… hard D, R” belongs in the jokes forum i think!!
