Points will stay on your record for 3 years, I guess your insurance will be a bit higher.
And contesting it is not a good idea. Like someone said, it's your word against the officer's.

i was gonna suggest the same thing as faisal…pay it off and add on $5 more to the actual ticket…personally, i’ve never been in that situation, but i’ve heard from a few ppl that it works…heck, it was even on the radio once, where an ex-cop, now working with X-coppers (dealing with all sorts of traffic tickets and fighting ur cases for u) mentioned it…i’d say thats a pretty reliable source :k:
