Well J&K can never be part of India. Period. Pakistan doesn't want it to be part of India keeping in respect to demands of Kashmiri ppl as well as Kashmiris. And until India keep their UN promise to have referendum in the region we are not going to see peace. Moreover, the military dictatorship of that region by India is not helping nor it will ever help Kashmiris. I believe we CAN be good neighbors but not one country.
But one thing i would like point out that, if Pakistan and India has good relations with each other. We would go long way and address the core issues which are poverty and injustice. I pray that both countries DO find a way to have peace for sake humanity.

But anyway, rather than focus on 1st para (which to me will get us nowhere), it is the 2nd para that needs focus and energy. If you ask a poor person in both country (or for that matter the Jawans from both sides who do all the heavy lifting), they could care less which country has what pecrent of "azad" and "non-azad" Kashmir. It is armchair folks who have a comfortable living who have such hard lines drawn that they cannot see the forest from the trees.
