Sorry Pal, I am loathe to hijacking this thread, and this will therefore be my last reply on this (agenda of partition) topic.
I don’t really know the dynamics of India’s claim to these states, however I can safely state that these are well integrated into India today, mostly because they shared no border areas with Pakistan, and therefore remained immune from Pakistani machinations and interference. Should Kashmir have been similarly placed, this state too would have been well integrated and economically progressive and politically stable by now.
I do not wish to debate this any further, as I know this topic will never really go away (Thanks to our indoctrination)
My apologies, I do not post on this forum often enough to to a paucity of time, however today (since the wife and daughter are away at the club for a Halloween Party) I have time to kill till about 2 or 3 am, by when they should be back.
