India will need to regroup quickly. Indian bowling is as bad and pathetic as Pakistani batting. Maybe we should give our batting line up to them and take their batting line up, with Salman Butt thrown in for free. :hehe:

^ But that is partly because india has not produced any great pace bowlers in their history. Their attack is heavily reliant on spinners. Kapil, Srinath and Zaheer were all decent rather than world-class seamers. If Tendulkar had played in an indian team boasting the likes of Imran, Wasim, Waqar, Akhtar, Hadlee, Lillee, McGrath, Donald, Pollock or the Windies quartet of the 70s & 80s, I am sure most of those hundreds would have been match-winning

A bowling average of less than 25 is great for a bowler (cf test average of 50 for a batter). Even Zaheer's bowling average is 32.22

That is a bit harsh, given that he has the most centuries he’s bound to have hit the most 100s in a losing cause too. I think the stat you’re looking for is 20 matchwinning hundreds out of 50, 40% win rate, that isn’t very impressive :open_mouth:

Why are we talking about records when South Africa just destroyed India in this match? Sure, Tendulkar got his hundred, but Kallis scored double hundred. It is such type of unbalanced reporting from media that has made Cricket less interesting sport. Its more about making records than winning a game.
