Starts January 5. On paper favorites South Africa. But India fast bowlers much improved. Hardik Pandya the X factor.
The Indian slip cordon is easily the worst in the world. If it holds on to 50 pct of chances India has a chance.

Re: South Africa - India Test Series Thread
I add + 50 INR…
BTW this will be a good test for indian batters.
Re: South Africa - India Test Series Thread
50 INR qualifies as value added. Yes, it will be a very good test for the Indian batsmen. And a chance for fast bowlers to show what they can don- slip fielders willing.
March stats in 3 hours.
Re: South Africa - India Test Series Thread
The first day was exciting. Fourteen wickets fell. Bhuvaneshwar kumar too 3 wickets in 3 overs. But the slip fielding came back to but India. Dhawan dropped Maharaj at 0. Who went on to make 35.
India lost 3 wkts for 28. Openers played terrible shots. Kohli showed his usual weakness wrt moving ball
Re: South Africa - India Test Series Thread
Last wickets gave India vital runs else they should have been limited below 150

@Southie I’m sure you must be following this test right now.
Its incredible how wickets are falling. With SA out for 130/- I thought its a easy run for Ind. But not really!

Amazing Test Match
Re: South Africa - India Test Series Thread
Yes watched when I was awake. The Saha dismissal was unfortunate. Umpires call. Ball just grazed the outside of the leg stump. He and Ashton looked dangerous.
If I recall in the first inning also there was one close call that went in SA favor.
Good match. When Aussies don’t play not much sledging. So that is good.
Rahane and Rahul should be in for next match.

This match was well contested. Hopefully Nohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are banned from coming within a mile of any test cricket stadium.
