What is the correct word? I mostly heard Sotan, but some people say it Sokan :hmmm:

Interesting and I thought Sokan is not common and Sot-an has something to do with Sot-ela pun.

Maybe it has something to do with the region you live in? Urdu punjabi?

The Sindhi (and probably Saraiki) word for sotan is Pahaaj which literally mean ghaasib / Qabza Mafia :rotfl:

Mostly in Hindi movies and Indian dramas its Sautan. So, Sokan is Punjabi word.

I never heard one sautan referring to her sautan as Satan. Though chuRail, pichhal peri, da'in are expected

hahaha these are the national words for sotan, hmmm satan can be abstract or fantasy word for her.

Sautan is the Hindi word used extensively in Urdu. never heard of Sokan.

I think sokan is probably used in Punjab

I was also thinking the same..that maybe soukan is punjabi. In the Urdu or Hindi movies, I've always heard soutan. So, soukan must be a variant of another language or dialect.

probably. sautan ke liye ek aur lafz bhii iste'maal hotaa hai...any idea what that word is? :p
