Sooo...why is being a gold digger such a bad thing?

Re: Sooo…why is being a gold digger such a bad thing?

BBC when we get a rishta or discuss a potential rishta…parents and the girl are very hesitant to discuss finances because it makes them FEEL as if they are being perceived as gold diggers.

I dont know anyone in real life who would voluntarily sink into poverty. I dont know anyone who would rather have no money. Money is important when you’re looking for a mate…he should be able to support a family. And looks are important for men when looking for a mate. The problem is as soon as you talk about it, men and their families are on the alert thinking these people are looking for a rich guy. Its not right when the girl is being judged on her looks (which she has no control over).

Taking this into consideration…Im coming to the conclusion that marrying with money being a part of the equation cannot be a bad thing.
