I was at the house of a friend who likes to listen the indian songs alot. Few of the songs had very objectionable meanings like " Yara rab se bhi pehle hai tu…", In another one " tere naam ka kalma parhta hoon…" and few more. I realized that he and few others were liking the beat and sound of the songs so much that they did not concentrate on what has actually been said in the song.
I personally do not listen to the songs. This is not the topic of whether we should listen to the songs or not. For those who listen to the songs and like them, do you like to only listen to the songs which you feel have good meanings or those that sounds good to your ears, no matter what the wordings are.
Jab kisi gaaney mein aisa sher aaey to ham volume band kar detay hain..
Shirk se to bachen, pehlay se hi kaafi saarey gunaah ho chukey hain.
Aik aur baat jo hamen bahot buri lagti hai woh yeh hai ke nangi larrki naach rahi hoti hai aur mu se “Allah Allah” lagaey rakhey hota hai, it boils my blood, abey ullu ke patho apne mabood ka naam lo na “but but but, pathar ka bana but” ya aisay kuch mantar wantar parro.
Faakhir’s “Tauba Hai” has some very objectionable (I think “despicable” is a better word to use) lyrics that may make one wonder if he is a proper Muslim. Perhaps he was taking the song a bit too practically :halo:
I remember a song of a pakistani singer where he says "Mera yaar rab to sona" which means (MA'azAllah) my love is more beautiful than my creator. Astaghfirullah!!
Yaar how will you stop this. I remember one story from one of my friends..His great grandmother was fond of one Hindi song..tere dwar khada ik jogi…And one day she got an opportunity to see that movie..heroin taking bath and hero is singing that song. She started yelling in the hall..phite munh marjaaneyo.
There is no point in boiling your blood.
*Writing lyrics is a work of art, creativity and requires a poetic bent of mind. Those who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth cannot write it eventhough their dad or mom were poets. *
So whether it is a song or movie they rely only on one thing sex, sleeze and steamy stuff. Unfortunately there are many bollywood actresses who use this tactic because becoming Madhubala, Meena Kumari or Waheeda Rehman is beyond their capability.
i try to avoid lyrics which come out with such funny stuff....and i do think it is very important to take in the words of the songs, and be aware of what you are listeningto rather than just opting to listen to a song for it's beat/rhythm...
**bollywood is disgusting…absolutely disgusting. and i especially hate the sort of movies where the heroine is a muslim gal and the guy she loves- IS ALWAYS HINDU. bollywood’s definition of a muslim girl is cleavage, bare arms and stomachs, sindoor and defying parents. PUHLEEEEZ!!
and most of their songs r trashy too.
