Eyes, ears and tongue are door to the heart. If there is dust outside a room and the door is open, the dust would enter the room through the door and polute everything inside the room.
If we let the impurities enter our heart through any of these doors than it would polute our heart and then our heart would insist us to perform prohibited actions.

I heard from an indian muslim that this concept is being encouraged through the media so that more and more muslim girls marry hindue guys, and you know the next generation mostly develops with the influenced of father...so a hindue generation. If I am not wrong, sanjay dat was one of the names mentioned relalted to the topic.

On a different note, you cannot be punished for something you didnt do. I would rather be worried about hurting someone then listening to music of certain kind to make my case for heavens.

i remember my anti used to shout at me for listening to chaiya chaiya there is some line in there about aayat she sed was blasphamous to listen to songs like that
