I’ve been asked by my cousin to make up a few dances with our other cousins for her upcoming wedding. I haven’t watched an Indian film in a long time, so I’m a little out of touch to what is popular right now.
What songs are people performing to nowadays and what songs are popular to play at mehndis and shadis? Have you been to a mehndi where a dance was particularly memorable? If so, what song did the performers use? Have people used props or costumes? I appreciate any ideas all you talented people may have.
Also, when you mention a song, could you tell me if it’s fast and upbeat or slower and melodic? And could you list any recent films that have good dances in them to copy? Thanks a million!

*Song 'Kajra Re' is a HIT in mehendee these days ... have really good beats for dancing etc.
*i've been to this mehendee some time ago, n they had this song "Woh Chalee Woh Chalee, Dekho pyar ki galee" in the back ground.. its kinda slow.. but at that time got perfectly mixed with the environment and the timing was awsome too .. just when they were taking the dulhan to the stage and this music was playing on the back ground ... the whole setting looked fabulous
I don't know if you can dance to them but here are a few for mehndi night...the one in bold are the ones I 've heard myself and I'm sure you can dance on them.

we all knock fobs and all so why listen to fob music for mehndi and dance to it. I suggest that you start a new trend and have dances to the following songs instead.

2) All I wanna do is zoma zomm zoom zoom and a boom boom- wrex n effect
3) if ya think i'm sexy and you want my body- rod stewart
4) thong song- Cisqo
5) my humps- black eyed peas
