From my experience....ignoring such msgs and calls always work....if not immediately then still after few days it does....no one is foolish enough to waste their credit on some one who is not bothering to reply or answering the call!!!!

I don’t mind people I know calling me…it’s the numbers I don’t recognise that I tend to ignore. I’ve learnt that it just saves time to not pick up the call. Although, if I’m in the mood I will pick up and take the mick…I once said to a guy that I could talk to the moon and it was telling me to throw myself out of my window. He put the phone down and he never rang again

What if you had lived in a bunglow with no second floor and he had known it? Throwing yourself from the window wouldn’t have hurt then eh so the threat gone. 
And yes i dont pick up numbers from unknown, if they ring more than 2 times then it means it someone frmo my family who has the ‘not show ID’ option on so I pick it up!

this is vry common in Pak that people from unknown numbers keep on msging u..all the time u cant change ur number 
i had a couple of txts from some random guy once, had no idea who he was. gave his number to my husband(he was in pakistan at the time)and he rang him and asked him why he was ringing me. the guy never texted me again :)
in pak chnging number is prtty normal but here it costs if i wanna change ma number lol… lol i will simply call 911 and tell em this stupid person is getting crazy abt me he nneeds jail lol
Yes, that is one good option.
1- Because of lack of response the person may become bored or it will give an idea that it was wrong number.
2- If someone is checking up on you...your spouse/SO your loyalty, then it will be good to ignore.
Repeated benign or lovey dovey, nice messages hardly can make someone to go hard on that person to report to authorities.
Obviously if the situation is different where this person threatens or uses profanity etc. then report immediately.
Have you msged back and said "I am sorry I think you got the wrong person"..it's possible that this individual doesn't even realize she is sending the txts on a wrong number.
