I’m astounded at the replies here.

And then you guys wonder why people think muslims are crazy.

Music is not haraam.
Salman Ahmed is no spokesperson for Islam, but then, neither are you.
He is entitled to his views, and if his views are more moderate Islamic, that doesn’t make him a Bidati, or Kaafir, or any other label you folks put on people who don’t agree with your rigid interpretations.
You guys scream and yell when anyone calls you an extremist for your views, but you show no leniancy in even listening to other peoples’ views without throwing ganday tamaatar.

I am not discussing whether I agree with Salman Ahmed or not. I’m merely commenting on the kind of etiquette I’m seeing when discussing the views of a fellow muslim.

Music is HARAM. Read up on that bro. And provide any proof that tells us that Music is an acception in Islam. We are the true spokesmen of Islam because we believe what is written Allah and not what others have written. Also define true spokesman if you are so ancious to hear them out. Do you want to hear the same stuff regarding Music being Haram from the RIGHT SPOKES MAN?

Listen to him carefully. There are ganna be people who will make things legal in Islam such as Alcohol, Sex and MUSIC. Where we all know that Music is haram. Even in Holy Quran it isnt said directly that its haram but there are indications and hadees that we must follow in order to figure out and find out that IT IS HARAM.
