Some thing to think about...

There are many great things about GS; its a medium that unites Pakistanis from all over the world. Mostly expats, yet the diversity within Pakistanis is amazing. We’ve got sindhis, punjabis, pashtuns, muhajirs, some baluchis, and even some white folks who’ve married Pakistanis.

But unfortunately, the ones higher up on the ladder continuously alienate their fellow Pakistanis. Anytime there is an argument between us and “them” (I’m sure yall know who they are), the mods jump in and take their side; and its the likes of myself and others who get the warning points. This is utterly disgraceful. Try going on to some of the hindu websites and see how the admin staff back their people; the taunting, the flaunting, the disgraceful insults towards us and our deen. Yet when we have a few hindoos here calling us terrorists and taliban, not a single word is said to them. I ask you: Is gup shup not a Pakistani based forum? Then why the hell are Pakistanis blamed for responding to hindus and standing up for our country? Calling an indian a “bhindian” is crossing the line yet calling a Khan part of the taliban isn’t??? Why are we so impressed by our neighbors?
For a few months I was on a site called Chai Khaana (predominantly pushtun) and it is clear who has priority: pushtuns sticking up for pushtuns. Where is our backing? This forum, as great as it is, must learn to protect their own. The higher-ups must protect the likes of myself and others. Sticking up pictures of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, and the flag of Pakistan on historical days ISN’T enough to be a proud Pakistani. One Pakistani must protect another Pakistani; I’ve always said we should get rid of such nonsense arguments as Karachi vs. Lahore or Pushtun vs. Punjabi. We should be united Pakistani Muslims. Yet when it comes to Indians we always duck our heads in sands and close threads or give warning points.

This thread isn’t meant to insult anyone; think of it as constructive criticism.

Please take into account my above thoughts.

They already do.

Stop getting all hyped up yaar…

dun argue and dun care.. just enjoy :flower1:

Re: Some thing to think about...

Maybe its because you said something worth giving warning points for? Why do you feel the need to stoop to the level of others by throwing insults? It doesn't make you any more justified.

Life is unfair. You'll always get in trouble for doing nothing. We get it.

Re: Some thing to think about…

hahaha

read b/w the lines what unkil AQ said

:maulana:

^ This is the smilie that is used to represent those who try to follow the way of the Prophet :saw:…

What made you think this board had anything to do with Islam or Muslims for that matter?

Just come over, sit down, share thoughts…If your own mock you and someone comes along and insults your way of life, there’s little you can do about it…

Re: Some thing to think about...

^ Then why are you on it?

Re: Some thing to think about…

Agree 100 %

Re: Some thing to think about...

i shuppose sometimes you can prove a rightwing thought or policy to be true but that doesnt mean everyone should endorse it and start moving with it.:)

for that reason many on gs dont let it effect their online relationships with the 'others'

lets face it, pakistanis are proud of their bigotry and if all the proven 'rights' are implemented then we'd be living a pure life. people are not about to give up their bollywood/hollywood dreams that easilly!

Re: Some thing to think about...

Let's not get personal.

Re: Some thing to think about...

You don't speak for us.

Re: Some thing to think about...

^ agree.

i respect everyones religion, ethnicity and or culture and personal opinion, i will debate it but without insulting them.

being a Pakistani means showing the good side of Pakistan and its people. and then there are guys like you who give all of us a bad name,

Re: Some thing to think about...

so what's the point here?

if someone speaks against a religion or ethnicity that is not Pakistani then the management of this site have to support them?

is that what Anil is asking?
seriously...I want to understand but my interpretation seems too far-fetched for even me to believe.

Re: Some thing to think about...

What I find most amusing is how people assume that they are the only ones who get warned while everyone who they think is against them goes scot free.

Re: Some thing to think about...

yeah. Femme has been sending my threads to review folder whole sale since i diverted my attention from politics to general, but do you see me whine about it. :)

These issues are judgement calls, mods try to do the best they can. People should stop getting into arguments if they cant be civil.

Re: Some thing to think about…

No man, who told you that?
It is the smiley to represent qadiani mullahs.
Happy?

Re: Some thing to think about...

you have to follow the political threads to understand! i dont think you do *not that it would make a difference to your overall view. *yet you seem to come running to protect peoples right to bash pakistanis and our values. even when its very apparent that you dont even know what anyone is upto on GS. gain an overall picture before you draw your sword to protect. so no your not in a position to disagree with anil.:D

Re: Some thing to think about...

thats good to hear

Re: Some thing to think about...

who wants protection, all i ask for is a free reign and the banya chaddis will be begging for protection.

Re: Some thing to think about...

vroom I follow political threads, and I see just as much crap from pakisyanis as indians, while we do get some indians who are only here to cause trouble and not really to engage, who then are unceremoniously kicked out, although then like rats trying to get to food they try to come back in.

what do you suggest when there is an open season in shia sunni discussions?

taking sides because of personal beliefs os political leanings is not the way to go, but how it is being discussed. yes thre are some topics that can be a little tacky or offending especially when it comes to religion and those are a diff topic especially when ppl start critiquing holy figures.

if banning on political differences and religious differences was the way forward, I would have banned TheRealDeal and Flame of Life ages ago, but they are gentlemen who can get fired up once in a while but stay on the topic, while I disagree 80-100% with their poltical views, i would never even think of banning them.

its the manner of engagement that matters. On tis very site one idiot threatened another one's family, it was something to the tune of assaulting his daughter and killing him etc. do you suggest that at that time that the mods take teh side of the guy making the threats just because he is muslim and Pakistani, or so he claimed.

yes I have been to indian sites and gotten banned for even questioning some illogical crap that was being passed around as facts, but is that what we want to be?

we dont need rude crude and socially screwed members whether they are white, brown. black, yellow or purple or muslims, hindus, jews, christians, wiccans, sikhs whatever.

the mod team tries to do the best it can.

sadly mod team or administration can not teach ppl how to communicate, and definitely is not in a position to undo years of bad upnringing and education of certain folks which was the responsibility of their parents and teachers.

Re: Some thing to think about...

uhmm maybe it is something that you said wrong?

i wouldn't expect anyone to back anyone else up if the truth was right in front of them and they werr lying

and yeah what fraudia uncle said
