No, it’s not better late than never. It’s selfish. And selfish is as selfish does. Fine, she can express her feelings for the guy and if she’s lucky, he’ll love her back, dump his fiancee days before the wedding and these two will ride off into the sunset to live happily ever after…
Except wait, there is no happily ever after, because they will have earned the contempt of the family for their selfishness, which will follow them for the rest of the lives. But hey, in the larger scheme of things what’s a life lived without respect and forgiveness, at least they’ll have each other
