Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

You are agreeing with anjjan. Achi baat hai magar I have given them the reference ---------> **Bhavisya Purana 3:4:17:67-78 **just like if someone would give us a reference from Quran like this-------------> Al-Baqarah Verse 34 or Al-Quran 2:130 etc etc. Now, tell me one thing. Would it be difficult for you or me to check the authenticity of the quote by checking it against the verse in Quran??? I wouldn’t demand any weblink from anyone if someone would at least give me that much of an info. Right? Make sure whom you are agreeing with.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Apologies mate for giving proper attention and also i didnt understand the reference ........... but if thats the case i wonder why cannt they find it or are there more then one versions

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

^ Yaar I don't wanna speculate anything. I had a question (I still have a few more) and I asked honestly giving the reference to them. It is upto them to clarify us as I am no authority on Hinduism............ I am only interested in comparative study of religions and thats what have in my mind while making this thread............

But they are calling me idiot and counter attacking Islam without being able to support the quote themselves.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

yar tu tay jazbati ho janda aain....................puray puray essay likh deettay ni

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

vah, so much writing yet i see no link.

is it really that hard? all it takes is a 2 second copy/paste.

why are you so afraid of providing it?

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Lahore, calm down. If you really have been given any pages from said scripture the first thing should be to find out if they are authentic before any question on it (rapists), anjjan found out a link and posted a quote from the site...

I suggest you all cool down and "restart" the discussion and not pass any "idiot" remark towards each other.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

read his comments, he said he was given “paper” copy of the text… may be you can check the book if its available online and show him what actual text is (if it is any different).

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Looks like someone was impressed by Salman Rushdie and went 2 steps beyond, too bad the author doesn’t have any clue of “musalman”

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Lahore 981, is it part of sunnah to read other religions scriptures ? Any hadith available on this which says that prophet mohammed, pbuh or his companions were doing this ? Or any info where he tells or encourage his followers to do this ?

:bukbuk:

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

I'm locking this thread since the initiator of the thread is unable to provide the appropriate reference (translator, publisher) for the book.

If anyone has appropriate weblinks or the publisher and the page number, then please drop me a PM and I will re-open the thread.

I don't see this discussion going anywhere other than senselessly attacking each other.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

I’m reopening the thread as Lahore981 was able to provide me with the following via PM:

I would like to request you all to please behave, stick to the topic and refrain from unnecessary mudslinging.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Thank you.

I had to contact the Hindu friend of mine in Syracuse, New York to ask about the source of this quote. He was amazed to know that I was challanged in this manner but was kind enough to provide me the detail and the correct information about Bhavsiya Purana.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Thanks Sadiyah, Can you ask for a PM to mail you the Shloka, even if it is in Sanskrit.?

It is very rare to find all these Puranas and Vedas at Hindu homes. And off course, we do not read all this stuff. What is the use? If we Hindus will have some kind of a Madrisa system where all minors will spend some beautiful years of their lives in learning these outdated Puranas etc and will come out with a blocked mind that they are the best……???

The question is if Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma were rapists as depicted in the Shaloka? May be, why not?
The point is how you look at the scenario.

Recently I was going thru one Anti-Islamic web-site. It says that the Prophet married only widows, for that Muslims give different reasons including the best one that the prophet gave them social security and honor by marrying them.

And the question was….Who made them widows?

I can agree that our Gods were rapists, whereas a Muslim will not agree that the Prophet himself made them widows.
This is the difference if you spend your childhood years at a Madrisa or if you are brought up in a free atmosphere.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Although I am fine with you raising a question about Prophet Muhammmad (PBUH) but what irritates me is why are you dragging a different topic into this thread? How Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is related to the discussion about the Trinitarian gods of Hinduism?

This is my objection..............

There is no reason now to mention Anti-Islamic site when I have already given you what you demanded, the source of the Bhavsiya Purana. Which is why this thread is re-opened.........

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

anjann, please keep me out of it. It wasn't my query to begin with. I only locked the thread as the reference some asked for was missing. As soon as it was made available, I reopened it for discussion.

Instead of asking rhetorical questions, you can simply affirm or negate what has been said in the light of your scriptures and beliefs.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

Why do you call it a ‘discussion board’ if you need only simple ‘affirmations or negations’?

Now make efforts and tell me the Shaloka….I am also interested to find out if some portion of Purana is a complete pornography?

Do not you see if I had spent some lovely years of my childhood in learning these outdated Puranas at a Madrisa, I might have been calling names, giving excuses, asking you to gain some knowledge, or read Quran, sorry…Puranas in proper context.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

anjann, feel free to question, verify, confirm, negate or approve as you wish, but please keep me out of it.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

what he has PMed you is b.s that he patched together using google.

his original quotes are easily found verbatim via google on anti-Hindu websites. to avoid revealing this, he pathetically invented some mysterious Hindu friend, who for some unknown reason engaged him in a discussion about Hindu god rapists and out of the blue provided him with photocopied pages of this book.

do you really think that Lahore 981 took this photocopy and typed it all out in his post? letter for letter, punctuation for punctuation…identical to those found on the anti-Hindu hate websites?

OR…he just did a copy/paste

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

nikhil25, so basically what has been shared by Lahore981 are merely lies and false accusations?

If possible, could you instead please provide with the correct/authentic verse(s) found in the book?

For instance, if someone was to quote something from Quran, which happens to be wrong. Many of us usually rebuttle it by posting the actual verses.

It would be helpful.

Re: Some queries about Hinduism, comments appareciated.

@ Nikhil25

there is a limit to blame someone for some false accusations.

What have you brought forward so far? Any clarification? Any other explaination for **Bhavsiya purana 3:4:17: 67-78 **?

You have not been able to say anything decisiove about the quote? Still pressing hard on website website. Buddy, I have no weblink, and I have not lied to anyone about the photocopied papers.
