Re: Some private ladies question for the wedding …
Get whatever you’re comfortable with. A robe is a must, regardless if you have short/long nighty or Pj’s consisting of a top & bottom. I had a few different robes in my trousseau, one on terry cloth for everyday and then some that came matching with the lingerie set.
On a side note…no harm was meant…when you use the word “trousers” that usually means slacks/pants that are worn outside of the home like to the office or with a suit. Please don’t get offended…there are all different types of us from all around the world and sometimes what is meant gets lost in translation.

Eek I haven't even thought of this properly, I was thinking satin pjs and lights off, I'm getting embarrassed just thinking about it
buy what makes you comfortable. Victoria Secrets can wait until the two of you are comfortable with with each other.

Very good advice I don't think I'd ever be comfortable for Victoria secrets though lol.
I've always been a Tom boy and my OH knows that, when we got introduced it was so awkward, I was in nice feminine clothing, we barely spoke when our parents left the front room. Luckily my dad left sky sports on and I saw arsenal had scored and went wild. That broke the ice, we both bonded over our love of football, he knows I'm not a girlie girl but he likes that lol

Well. Just spent a good chunk of time reading through this thread. Now I'm worried. I'm getting married this December and honestly hadn't thought about this. I was just imagining something like he comes in, we talk then lights out while I sneakily change into my sweats (my usual nightwear)
Re: Some private ladies question for the wedding …
^loll
Just excuse yourself to the bathroom to freshen up and change into whatever sexy thing you prefer. if you are shy wear a long robe on top of it. You won’t want to stay in your dulhan outfit with a gazillion pins all night. Plus it’s a nice surprise
Re: Some private ladies question for the wedding ...
Are the dulhan outfits eat to remove on your own? I have heard that you usually need help. I'd e too embarrassed to ask anyone I help me undress. Especially on the first night!

Well lights usually don't go out ;). Anyways I would say make your night a memorable one because it only comes once(usually;)). If you get embarrass you''re gonna ruin you night and will regret it later, so open up and enjoy.
Re: Some private ladies question for the wedding ...
Sorry for jumping in the ladies thread but couldn't resist commenting because this post is incomplete without guys input. Well for me and on behalf of most of the guys I would say to go for something sensual and it's better if you know your fiance well, doesn't matter if it's arranged or love, then you'll be more comfortable wearing those but these things looks good only if you've some meat on your bones not like usually skinny Pakistani girls except the ones living abroad ;). And this is coming from a guy who's not even married but looking for one. :p
