Wedding night, I am sorry for the rude question… I am going to marry after few days… i was wondering ( i did have asked my mother, i am to shy to ask this) I dont have a sister or cousins here only in Pakistan. At the wedding night what do you have to wear ? because when he comes in mij room do i need to dress me up comfortable like shalwaar kameez.. ?? or just in mij dulhan clothes like in the movies of bollywood,…

You can keep your dulhan clothes on, but excuse yourself to the bathroom and change into something sexier, like a silky nightie. It doesn't have to be short if you don't feel comfortable.

Might be an idea to try and overcome ur shyness and ask ur mum tho as obviously every family is different, if the guy is conservative he might get a bit funny if ur sitting there in sexy nightwear lol or vice versa..

If its an arranged marriage or even love! i would recommend you stay in your bridal dress.
I'm wearing PJ's on my wedding night, they will be new ones ( yay!) and a hoody! My walima is the next day and i will be having the MUA ( a guy) come to the hotel suite to do my make up + mum and MIL will be coming there to for their make up!!

i agree with deeba, definitely go by how conservative or liberal he is in his thinking and your comfort level, victoria secret lingerie on the first night might cause him to see you in a not so respectful way if he is ultraconservative

im taking a nightie with long gown AND a silk pyjama set just in case I don't feel comfy wear nightie - I think its best to take both just so you have both options available.

btw, wouldn't staying in dulhan clothes be uncomfortable, there are so many layers and she'd be tired too,i would think she would want to change or atleast hope he comes soon so she can change into something more comfortable, i don't know how it usually works. do the bride and groom both come to the room or does the groom come in after a little while after saying goodbyes to all the relos?

Saying that though, my Nikaah was just over two years ago and over that time, I’ve obv gotten very comfortable with my husband. If I didn’t know him that well, I probably wouldnt wear that on the wedding night, but I would most def not wear pj’s either, I’d probably wear a slip or teddy.

Where do you guys buy the long silky ones? I dont seem to find them around anymore. All I find are the short ones. I spotted a few bit longer ones, but they were womenn size, were nto even silk, and had ugly print.

If you look on the Agent Provocateur site, there are a few long ones on there but they are pricey. Just had a search on the Debenhams site and they have some nice ones!

Don't desi girls ever wear corsets on their wedding night? I think they can look stunning.. I'd get a custom made one the same colour as my lehenga for a day-to-night look
Agent Provocateur has some gorgeous stuff (I'd love a crystal whip lol).. or those new bras that fasten/unfasten with magnets :D

My weakness is underwear and shoes, I love agent provocateur, the website is annoying though. Why advertise videos of the underwear when all the video consistes of is a women grinding a bed post in a poorly lit, cheap looking motel room.
