the problem with burgers is he dont care abt diff kebabs , bachoN ke liyee burger is burger no matter there is diff kebabas , ahh kids :halo: i have tried boiled egg sandwich, egg paste sandwich and tuna sandwichs at times ,haN samosas, egg rolls waghaira kabhi nahi bana ke diye , i am gonna try these asap .our about peanut butter/honey chocolate spread , thats what i always avoid in his lunch box and teachers also suggest Not to use meetha as every days lunch , wasay bhi kids like sweet things too meiN nahi chati ke ussay aadat hoo jaeey zeada meethay ki …baqe ideas are really good and i am gonna try all of them …thanku so much

ps: i dont know why but somehow when i was opening this thread i was thinking about u Qrius  i read many posts where u post many recpies so aap ka naam meray zaheN meiN tha ke u might help me in this case and see i wasnt wrong  Thanks again .

Smoked salmon and cream cheese is good in sandwiches. But he’s a kid so he won’t like it

ok so you don't wanna give sweets..theek..koi baat nahin..

i just remembered some other things..how about potato patties/aloo matar kay kabab..can be made part of burger..how about aloo wali kachorian..

also you can make lambay lambay potato/qeema seekh kabab thing..you can bake or fry them...and make hot dog style rolls..

how about bake qeema or potato in a puff pastry..bilkul pakistan kay school jaisay patties ho jain gay..you can make chicken ones too..

you can make fish and potato..us kay cutlet bhi bana sakti hain aap.

you can also make bagel sandwich..or pita wraps for him..just to add variety..

how about salsa and nachos..

or bake cheese sticks..or zeera biscuits..i'll come back with more..if i remember something else..

waisay, don't say thanks mehroo..jahan food ki baat ho aur hum na hoon..impossible :D

Left over chicken paalak is also great in sandwiches, but again, being a kid he probably won't like it.

:hehe: Xtreme, both your “attempts” to respond to this thread seem like Lankan batting today. Did had potential but couldn’t go all the way.

Try again.

Mehroo… sometimes alternate with pre-pakaged lunch kits. Once a week or something. And atleast once a week, my daughter just take 2 bucks and buys her own. I hear its a good social event to buy lunch from the school canteen alongwith rest of the class mates. Reh gayay three days, so u now have ample choices to rotate for three days.

ahh thanku Qrius aap ne merai kafi mushkal aasaN kar dee , can u plz tell me recpie of aloo matar kay kabab aur aloo wali kachorian ?

Mr Xtreme :halo: Thanks hehe

Faisal the problem in local schools is they dont have any canteens here , hai naa ajab baat but that is how it is …Dane ppl perfer home made lunch .anyway thanks for reply

Please don't over do with sandwiches, the worst thing you can do for your kid is to give him 'white bread' with mayo, meat, eggs, sweets like chocolate spread (good that the teachers are against it) EVERY SINGLE DAY. You don't know what you are doing to your kid by letting him eat all that 'UNHEALTHY' food. I don't know why desis donot let their kids have natural and healthy food. I know the kids will say no to fruits (apple, peach, strawberries, kiwis) and veggies (carrots, cucumber ect..) if you donot train them from the very beginning. (sorry no offence, if you are already giving them these things to eat). In general I have seen desi people living abroad literally destroy their kids health with their eating habbits.

You can do your child good, if you give him like brown bread with veggies, (slices of green salad, cucumber, tomoto) and maybe a slice of low fat cheese, with a slice of halaal WURST (do you get this in danemark?). It is avaible in turkish shops.

Do add a fruit and yoghurt (plain one if possible) for everday. Make sure that your kids eats them.

If your kid has been good you can award him/her on weekends with french toast and the other things mentioned here.

I want a Danish (woman).

Saadia bebe, most of us grew up on thailay walay pakoray and chola chaat from the rehriwala. Yeh yogurt and peaches tau supermodels ko he khaatay huey daikha hay.

But I do agree, you bring up a very good point. Desis should feed fruits and vegetables to their children. A good way to implement this is to lead from the front and start eating those yourself. I’ll keep your advice in mind when my time comes.

funguy, i know a family whose kids expanded (grew fat) after coming to canada, what do they get for lunch everyday, chicken or meat sandwichs with lots of mayo and ketchup.

Its really a pity, the mom regrets that she destroyed her kids with giving them this food, but now she told me, the kids donot eat anything else for lunch.

I used to take brown or wholemeal bread with a light cheese spread, juice and a fruit when i took something.

saadia dear thanks for advice , thats what i have been doing i mean brown bread , fruit ,yoghurt and milk everyday but i was getting tired of it , i mean there must be a change na ,they have been doing a projecet abt healthy and unhealthy food in school and he keep telling me that mom dont ever gimme some choclates spread and meetha  i did that few times when i was so lazy to make any thing for him :smack: so the advice abt brown bread is good enuff but somehow i think he needs a change as well , gaar meiN i always give him Roti and salan , burgers and french friecs etc kabhi kabar mahinay mein shayed 2 dafa he chaltay haiN , it not every days food u know …the good thing is he likes to have fruties and yoghurt too i give him every day …baqe the ideas i got from guppies here are great as a change , maybe har 2 din baad i will try one of them .
Thanku agian

sorry
