LET ME TELL U MY STORY & PLZ DO REPLY ABOUT YOUR OPNIONS:
i’ll ry to cut it short..
I have a friend who’s background is pathan from haripur, and mine is punjabi from multan. publicly speaking our ppl really dont get along back in pak. BUT anyway since the first day she was like we dont like punjabi’s..and i was like ur a stupid fob, and you’re really illiterate for saying that, if you dont like certain punjabi’s then dont, but not everyones the same, right? I mean is she wants to play that game, then most punjabi ppl think that pathans are hella big and stupid. (DONT HATE IM USING A REFERENCE) so that fell through…
THEN…her family is fairly light. and mine a mix between fair and tan. so she loves to point out that shes waaay lighter than me, and that makes her more prettier,and more attractive. and "shes like ur skin isnt that bad, its a nice color " just to throw it in my face i guess lol…so looking at her and Im just like OK, whatever u say. isnt that sooo illiterate?!! and she hella makes fun of ppl who are dark. ANd it really gets on my nerves..she acts like shes hella smart and adapting to the american life, but she’s just like a JAHAL! And whenever someone looks at me, or if i get attention, ..it kills her!!
and she tries to hella make me feel like crap n it just makes me laugh, even though shes older than me, she has a lot of growing up to do.and some of my guy friends laugh a her too ..one was like “shes fat and looks like a troll, can speak English right, and is white..she aint got **** on you.”..lol..its pretty funny, shes very conceded.
SO LONG STORY SHORT:
I want to teach her a lesson abt stereotyping, and making fun of ppls skin color. i could care less what she says abt my appearance, it doesnt even bother me. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO???
she thinks her ppl are the best in pakistan, and that everone else is ****..yea i was born in the US but i got strong ties to my roots back in multan and lahore…so i want her to realize that she is in fact acting like a JAHAL..how should i go abt doing that???
second, not only her, but both of you need a bit growing up to do.
third, getting back at her would bring you down to her level as well..so avoid it.
and , why are you even friends with a person who doesn't like you to begin with? you should just ignore her.
and then, you can always throw a pathan joke at her.

I think you should ignore her and keep your distance. Acting out some revenge plot makes you even more immature. Make it clear that you don't like these sorts of comments and be polite but reduce your interactions.

Make it clear to her that if she can't get past beyond your skin color and value your friendship, then perhaps you two shouldn't be friends. Stooping to her level is not the solution here.
People are a product of their environment. If this girl is recently from Paks, she only talks like that cos she has been instilled with these beliefs from her environment. If u had been born and brought up there, u would be a different person from who u r now.
U dont have to b nasty and immature to teach her, instead sit down and explain how out of place and wrong her views seem in this country, and how the majority of ppl would find them unacceptable, and u hope that she will b able to understand that she is making herself look foolish to the rest of u and that u r sure that given time she will learn.
If u r both Muslims u should know that God has made the world full of many different types of people of different colours, looks etc and from an Islamic pov, the best amongst them are those who r best in Islam, not cos of the way they look. And pride is definitely NOT an Islamic attribute.

Seriously, she's from a very trashy background if she's saying all that! I've had numerous Pathan friends in Pak who were pretty cool. There are tons of intermarried Pathan/Punjabi families. Its only in the US that I've met one a$$hole who falls into the category you've mentioned.
