His name is Jamil. He lives in India (Hyderabad Deccan). He is first cousin to our TV artiste Rizwana Khan (kookoo) and Akhtar Aapa…mom to Huma the sis in law of Zeba Bakhtiar… based in Milwaukee now.
Jamil visited Karachi sometime during 1970. I met him at PTV-K when myself, Kookoo and Talat Hussain were recording PHATTA HUA COAT under Amir imam’s directions…Jamil was visiting KTV with Kookoo and his two cute daughters; Tabassum and Farah…around 4 & 5 of age. I remember meeting them..taking them in my lap and going around the station with biscuits etc from that fairly well maintained canteen. At one point Shahbaz Chaudhry and Qaiser Abbas at Design section…also joined to play with these two cute girls… and at that time no one could have ever thought that Tabassum would be TABU we see in Indian movies today..while her sis FARAH too fairly well into Indian_Showbiz…for years now.

Once..some years back...I saw her at one of the shopping malls in Dubai. She was standing right next to me...paying through her credit card...I was next in line....and while waiting for the transaction etc, while looking around...she smiled as a general gesture and politely asked 'FROM iNDIA?" AND I said "No...Pakistan" and she smiled and went on with her sign off etc on card slip.
At that moment---I wondered that if I had told her that I have literally carried her in my lap...way back when she was 4 or less....she may have never believed because for such popular/showbiz people... a lot of stories are concocted for masala reasons and with a view to have a better access to such known ones. Being someone from showbiz me-self....... I knew how to stay put...
There can be a question that if she was 4 then...in 1970..she should be around 41-42...which I would say is correct...because she is of that age...except that she is blessed by ALLAH such way that she doesn't show her age...while her sis does....and thanks to the magical powers of make up also.....

“BEHAN BHAI” which was shot 90% at Karachi…was one of my favorite movie. I still talk about it to my friend KAMAL when I meet him occasionaly at Gymkhana and other functions. I also discussed this movie with Nadeem Beg during a recording of a serial recently. Both the actors of that movie..fondly remember that epic…where Husna is still remembered too..but I wonder where she has vanished?
