For years I have been told that NOT PROBLEM can be solved without addressing the ROOT CAUSE which India was (and is) not willing to solve from last 60 years.

You can keep cutting the branches to get rid of the tree but unless you take the root out, there is no way you can get rid of the tree. What India is saying that we will not take out the root of the tree but its pakistan’s duty to not allow branches to grow.

First and very minor and mandatory step towards solving a problem is that you acknowledge that problem exists and India is not even willing to do that let alone solving it. So much for atoot ang for 60 years!

Please show me when India has not been willing to address any issue … i for one will take you up on this one. This is the misinformation that has been going on in Pakistan. The issue of J&K has always featured in all the talks between India and Pakistan.

Even the Lahore declaration made by Indian and Pakistani PM had mentioned that we will settle the dispute. but then to settle you need a partner. The ink of the agrement was not even dry when Pakistani forces (not some rag tag militants) violated the LOC and crossed into Kargil … WHY??? If India has agreed to talks to settle why this agression. I mean in the last 60 years if anything Pakistan should have realized that it is not capable of taking Kashmir by force !!! Now some people in Pakistan want to play this “kabbadi” … sure they are benefitting from it … bit what about rest of the ergion. They are endagering teh region just for their petty benefits !!!
