So...

Should a MIL expect her DIL to be very active who never sits, and do all the cooking, cleaning, washing by herself, and needs very little rest?

Should the MIL tell her off if she doesn’t clean properly or doesn’t cook at home?

or

Should the MIL care for her and help her?

Re: So...

MIL should treat her as she would treat her own daughter.
Period.

Re: So...

Chalo, ghuma phira ke, word your post in such a way that a normal MIL looks like a Monster. Good job hareem.

Re: So...

LOL @ TLK.

MIL should care for her and help her and never be offended if the DIL calls her "aunty" instead of ammi.

:hehe:

Checkmate. :lifey:

Monster in law :cb:

What if a woman treats her daughter that way? I mean if she wants her daughter to work all the time?

I'm not trying to make a MIL look like a monster.....I'm trying to get to the point that how would you treat your daughter and DILs if you in general expect women to do hard work?

Re: So...

For my boys, I want for them each a wife who cares deeply about him and shares his ideas about happiness. She doesnt have to be a rocket scientist and earn more money than Donald Trump...nor does she have to be the perfect home-maker goddess ala Martha Stewart. Just share the same life interests and goals. Love and have a happy life.

Re: So...

arent your boys like 3 and 5?

agreed

Re: So...

should Mother In law hang herself with the fan?

Im at work and I actually laughed out loud at this one!

Re: So...

A MIL should treat her DIL like a human being and a real family member. So no, she shouldn't be so demanding.

I started reading your reply "Im at work...." and i thought it will be "I am at work, will do it myself after reaching home" :D

Re: So...

Fine. You don't have to say that thrice. lol

PCG is practicing NIKKAH in with every breath she takes, every move she makes :)

Re: So...

Haha, what's up with all those double and triple posts?

Anyhoo, back to the topic. I think a DIL should be treated like the MIL's own daughter. The DIL is expected to treat her MIL like her own mother too, right? So seems fair enough.
