Re: So you and hubby are going out, you’re all dolled up…

aakhri nalki: It looks like you are behaving like four year old baby. :chai:

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you're all dolled up...

Agree with RAW. She shouldn't go out like that. All these words (Tight, Revealing, Immodest) doesn't befit a Muslimah.

Her beauty is only for her husband, not for the whole city to look at her. So, it makes sense if the man has ghayrah in him to stop her from doing that. Women are commanded to wear proper hijab, anyways.

A four year old isn’t a baby. I thought you’d know that, oh ye who stil has his doodh ke daant. :smack:

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you're all dolled up...

Brother, Kaaf....this ghayrah thing is a bit tricky in this present age (full of hypocrites like me), and easily creates misunderstandings. Most of people's mind have been fed by the media to think of it only in terms of "Honor killing" instead of considering it from Hazrat Umar's perspective, the first man to suggest "pardah" in front of the Prophet (saw). (and later the Quranic Ayah were revealed in favor of his opinion).

Also, 'Gyarah' is a tool often misuded by hypocrites after marriage. You would see a man who actually had no problems flirting/dating with different women (scanning their displayed assets) when he was a bachelor, but suddenly he becomes very possessive, protective and full of gyayrah when one of them became his wife. Where was all that self respect when he used to use his eyes like an X-ray machine non stop, day and night. And still after marriage, some of those ghayrah-filled hubbys continue to extract pleasure from display of other's wives, but those same lustfull eyes are suddenly filled with honor when it comes to their own wife. May Allah (swt) bless hidayah to people like me to realize and correct their hypocrite-like behavior.

Can't disagree with that. Pick and choose from Islam when it suits us and discard it when we want to follow our desires.

May Allah guide us and have mercy on us.

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you're all dolled up...

it would totally ruin my day .. but then we should know each other likes/dislikes in the first place.

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you're all dolled up...

I probably wouldn't wear such a dress in the first place but if he still feels is to be immodest, i'd change it.

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you're all dolled up...

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you're all dolled up...

you should not get married in arrange setup, otherwise poor husband could not stop her doll.

Re: So you and hubby are going out, you’re all dolled up…

happened few times with me..dressed up for a dinner/wedding ( I dont wear revealing/short sleeves/fitted dresses and I also wear a hijab) but still after sitting in the car, I was told to cover up with a ‘chaadar’/shawl and he wont drive unless I got off for it :grumpy:

It is obviously a turn-off sine I feel it is rude of him but I also know he is not wrong either but still, being a woman, I take the grudge along for a few hours
