For last ten years I have been using 2 or 3 days of my vacation for Eid and Baqra Eid.

i know i am goin to use my 2 days annual and, 1 birthday leaves.

Yes Eid is a holiday so we should take that day off.

Some people make an assumption that they cannot tell their employers that Eid is based on citation of moon . They think if they tell that to employer that they will take a day off based on citation of moon , the employer will not agree. It is not true. My experience shows that employers in USA give due importance to any and all religions. I never faced any problem taking day off on Eid day based on which day the moon citation will occur. I tell them upfront what it is about and how it works and they are happy to oblige.

I’m going to take chand raat off and the first day of Eid. Can’t afford o miss out all three days this year because of my crazy timetable :mad::(:teary1:

I used to take a day off on Eid back in Austria. Here in Dubai that's not necessary anymore, since Eid is a public holiday. This time we'll spend Eid in KHI, Inshallah.

That is what I do , three days , one day for tentative moon sighting. My employer is good Mashallah, Allah un kay karobar main taraqee ata karay , ameen.

I get the 1st, 2nd and 3rd off from College.. haha, this is the first year they've decided to close the college for Eid, because otherwise they wouldn't have enough non-muslims in the whole of college to make up one class.. lol
