so wat's ur signature style

in desi clothes ???. I mostly wear shalwar qameez, my prefrence is shalwar coz I hv more like n hr glass figure so capris / flare pants / trousers dun suit me well. I think they are more appropriate for skinny girls. And the shalwar is mostly seedhi saadhi si with a lil ghair and short paainchay, I never wore patiala/dhoti/ baray ghair/all the other variations. I do like to hv sum embellishments on it sum times like embroidery / mirror work / stitch designs etc.
No matter wat’s IN, the length of my kameez is always same, it just hits a lil above my knees. The fitting is always proper enough to let me breathe n eat for a full tummy lolz, I hate zippers on the back so the kameez are also loose enough to wear. The sleeves r mostly of quarter length, some how I never got myself to wear sleeve less :bummer: . the chalks on the side are of medium length which shows the shalwar not the stomach :cb:. The galaz are normally round but not deep, I like sherwani/closed collars a lot thou, square collars are also good coz they accent my collar bones but V shapes is a big No No.
Abt the dupattaz oh man I just luv the big big ones, mum says they can actually b used as chaddars lolz but it makes praying also hassle free.
n ya another important thing r the matching glass bangles, no matter where i m wat i do i always wear bangles with shalwar Qameez, they are a must must accessory.
I know it’s kindda boring but i neva liked taking risks with wat i wear n it’s ez for my mum also 2 send clothes 4 m, infact i wud b recieving my new winter shalwar qameez batch in 2-3 days :yahoo:

I love big shalwars! My shalwars have to have big ponchay cause i just love the way it falls when wearing heals or flats. Lots of chuntias (sp?) are a must too, so the shalwar is really floaty and has a lot of movement. My Kameez lenth is always just above my knee as i normally have kaam on my shalwars. A round gala is a must as i always wear necklaces, not too deep. And then quarter lenth sleeves, i dont wear sleeveless, dont feel comfy in them.

Re: so wat's ur signature style

i hv a lot of trouble handling dupattas=\

Re: so wat's ur signature style

i always wear short kameez b/c they make me look taller and i always wear fitted clothes. i hate loose clothes they bug me and i hate dupatta's, they're so big and they're always in the way

Re: so wat's ur signature style

I like big ghair ki shalwars - lots of movement - with short kameez...a little above the knees. I like to have some kaam on the painchay too. My sleeves stop about halfway to my elbow. Thats pretty much my signature style if you could call it that. :)

Re: so wat's ur signature style

i like oonchi straight leg pants with fitted long sleeve kameezes. i dont really like mid length or half sleeves..i like my sleeves either long or non (sleeveless)

Re: so wat's ur signature style

I don't like my kameez to be as short as a tee...Looks hideous from behind...So the length has got to be just a tad bit above knee or upto knees...However, I can't wear kameez that are too long because they'd make me look shorter...

I don't wear patiala shalwars because it would make me look bulkier...

And, i LOVE big dopattas...Dopattas, for me, are the icing on the cake and they hvae got to be big and long...It gives this traditional look that I adore.

Re: so wat’s ur signature style

collar, long sleeves, normal size shirt (just lill above kneez), normal size shalwar and trouser. big long duppata.

never had a zipper at the back.

btw i do post my signature here. u guys are also welcome to do so.

Re: so wat's ur signature style

i also love wearing shalwar kameez i usually design and sew them myself, i usually wear them to above the knee aswell cant do sleevless either fee uncomfortable sleeves are usually half way to the elbow shalwars i can do any style as long as the kameez is fitted, (but not to tight so that there is enough room to eat too!!!) dont mind zips, but i usually sew them without it. currently working on a collar suit navy blue cotton planning to do cream embroidery on it what do you think guys??

Re: so wat's ur signature style

^ :O you make u'r own?! i've always wanted to learn.

i always wear shalwar kameez except in school. the length of the kameez is just a little above the knees and sleeves always 3/4, otherwise the design varies. And i also just LOVEEEE long and big dupattas, they're just gr8!

I luv 2 sew also, the only thing that I suck @ is cutting, I dun hv much idea abt it :bummer: haan I do a lot of the embroidery n stuff coz u can do it while watching TV or sum other chore.
i asked my mum 2 send me a baby pink cotton suit which is pre cut n I m planning to do sum silver gota work on it then sew it, let’s see how that comes up :sunnyboy:

I do sum times hv long sleeves esp 4 clothes in winter but they become such a nuisance doin dishes or wadu :bummer:
I’ll post my clothes when I’ll receive the package mum had sent

Re: so wat's ur signature style

"So what's your signature style?" Do u really need to ask me that question??? Do I REALLY need to spell it out for u????

^ Lungi and bunyaan!

Same here, with me if the dopata’s massive it’s gets hard to keep it in place :smack:

Re: so wat’s ur signature style

The shirt’s length varies depending on what’s in fashion. My dopata’s usually long. I normally have a deep neck at the back of my kameez.
I don’t like having a lot of embroidery on my clothes. I’m happy as long as my clothes are simple and not over the top.

Interms of saris I have to use a sari pin. This is what it looks like:

Re: so wat's ur signature style

^ Whats a saripin?
