They most obvious names which makes you non-shia are names of *The Rightly Guided Caliphs, Umar, Othman, Abu Bakr *except Ali.
yes but there are shias with the names Musa/bilal/ibrahim etc so if OP has one of those names he cant expect her to know that hes sunni ?

Best of luck whatever happens, I think the answer to many of your questions are only going to be answered by speaking to her. Just remember what seems like a small issue before marriage will probably become a very big issue afterwards, so it is best to "keep both eyes open before marriage and half closed after". hmm whats an obvious shia name? I know a Ali Haider syed that is a sunni... I've never been able to get this shia name thing. I know so many hassans n Hussains Murtaza Razas that are not shia. So no names are not that obvious of an indicator.
I know that, but the majority usually are. Anyway what I meant is sunnis are usually confused to be shias if they have a name similar to what you mentioned, and mine is nothing like that (though it is no guarantee of my not being shia of course, hypothetically speaking).
