Thats a baseless claim, not a fact. Just because you think men are more tolerant, doesn't make it so. Either you can prove it with some evidence, or it's just your own opinion.

My relationship so far is great with my in-laws. I have no problem with my MIL, shes a sweetheart. That doesn't mean I should be living under her roof though. I don't expect my brothers wife to live under my parents house either. Adults need their own privacy and shouldn't have to live with parents.

men are more tolerant? this is absolutely wrong.. i heard about many guys (imported from pakistan) having lots of trouble with their inlaws specially MIL while living under Her roof... couple of them left their wives for forever and some who moved out start doing Ok afterwards ....

Exactly! I have seen so many cases where parents aren't willing to move in with their daughters just because their son in law will feel burdened. Anyone who thinks men are more tolerant is not only sexist but quite delusional too.
