Na am not a Pakistani … All of me life , I have been told that , am not the son of soil as my parents migrated from that specific part of the world known as India these days .

And I was made to remember many times that you guys still have relatives over there .

Therefore my Pakistan starts from Karachi and ends up there .

I've heard all kinds of immigrants complain, not just Pakistanis. I've heard Europeans complain the most and they have fully functioning countries with socialized medicine and all kinds of stuff and yet they choose to live in the states and whine about it! Human nature I guess!

maybe she doesn't consider Pak better than the US. She could be criticizing America as an American. many Pakistanis complain about things in Pakistan but given a chance will decide not to leave for places they like to romanticize so much.

I hate those person who talk like that.I also have a friend who always complain I am missing Pakistani enivironment or there are no maids here I have to work .Then why are you living here? I recently had a conversation with a lady who’s married with kids, settled in the US for over 15 years, has a nice home, a great husband who is very successful in his career, a well established family masha’Allah, kids are doing well in school…but she’s always complaining about everything, I mean everything. It’s not about the grass is greener syndrome but being critical about anything and everything…I can’t even begin to explain because it’s annoying.

So I asked her if she’s ever thought of wrapping up from here and returning home but she had nothing to say.

So really, how can one survive in a place they hate so much? And why don’t they go back because to them everything seems to wonderful over there anyway?

couldn’t agree with you more!! I doubt anything will make them happy. Nik: you touched on a topic that riles me up so much!!! I cannot STAND people who complain about living in Canada/USA but fail to realize and be thankful for all the benefits these countries offer. I’ve had to bite my tongue on so many occasions when listening to this non-stop complaining. It really is sad and I feel sorry for people like that. And at the end of it all, it just comes down to not appreciating everything that Allah has given you. That is so wrong.
