Re: So, i found out he was cheating…

Okay, what the heck, people? I’m sure the OP is young and all but you guys are seriously being mean for no apparent reason. Yes, she could have been a bit more laid-back but you have to remember he obviously tricked and played with her feelings and that must hurt like hell.
I’m sorry, Purple, you had to learn the truth about him this way but you dodged a bullet. And time heals everything so you’ll look back at this and will be very thankful you didn’t end up marrying him.

it may not be an issue for you but it certainly is for most normal, sane individuals! not saying that i agree or approve of her way of still keeping in touch with him however yours saying that whatever happened with her, how her heart broke is not a big deal, i think its being harsh towards her feelings.
Awwww, thanks for being understanding :(. It’s not that i would ever want him back, it’s just that, iam hurt & i want to get over it & want to feel better.
Purple, ask yourself if you were truly happy with him. Reflecting over this question can help you move on. Don’t just think about the good times you had with him, but the negative aspects of him/the relationship as well. You may find that there’s more bad than good to him.
You may even come to realize that you were more miserable than happy with him and other things that weren’t so obvious before. It will take time to move on because you invested emotional energy in him. BUT…maybe other reasons why you feel stuck on him are because you like the idea of having a boyfriend (though he’s wasn’t that great)…or the idea of being in love (if he doesn’t respect you, he doesn’t love you)…or it’s your bruised ego that wishes that all the time you invested would have had a more fruitful outcome.
Reflect over things..but also keep busy with people/activities. I know it sucks, but you will move on from this and hopefully become all the more stronger because of it. It take time, but it’s not impossible.
Yes, you’re right. I had more miserable memory out of this relationship than happy ones. But thinking that he was just fooling around & telling lies is what hurts.
