When I pay $5-$7 at some places my eyebrows end up being uneven and differently shaped. At Ulta they charge $20 which seems crazy and too much but the way they did my eyebrows seemed like she was using the 20 mins to totally perfect my brows.
I read that doing your own eyebrows is a major beauty blunder.

I used to pay $12 (+ tips) at a desi owned salon. THEN I found a place that charges $4. So I tried it out and liked their work. Been going here for the past year. I usually leave a $2 tip so total is $6.
If all the cheaper places did a horrible job & the only place where I liked the results was at Ulta....I wouldn't mind paying $20. This is one of those things where it's important to get a good result so $ would not be my main criteria for choosing a place.
You haven't been able to find 1 single place cheaper than $20 in your area? How much do your friends pay?
P.S. I usually go every 2-3 weeks and it doesn't take longer than 10 minutes.

so you would pay 20 bucks to Ulta to get your eyebrow waxed every 2 weeks? I would pay Anastasia the famous eyebrow woman to the stars that much...
the desi eyebrow people that advertised at the desi stores that i've gone to have threaded too much off where the eyebrow just isn't thick anymore or they look different for each eye. The ones that are actual desi salons are about 3 hours away and charge i think $7-$10

^ What other option would I have if I couldn't find someone near me to do it cheaper? Having messed up eyebrows or driving 3 hours every 2 weeks is not an option for me. Where do your friends or other female family members go to get their brows done? I found my current place b/c a friend recommended it to me.
What difference does it make if the $20 is going to Ulta or Anastasia as long the job is being done to your liking?

I pay $25 for my brows. It's steep but I am always satisfied and the salon is incredibly hygienic. I get mine done once a month so it doesn't hurt that much. We don't have any desi salons inn our city

I once got my eyebrows done from a desi lady who has a salon outside of her home.....the best eyebrows I ever had....that was almost 2 years ago and ever since I've been trying to get htem exactly that way, I've been to desi places in my neighborhood, in canada etc, no luck :(

i used to pay $2 but recently the lady increased her price up to $4.. but that seems really inexpensive compared to the comments here lol
i personally wouldn't pay $20 for my eyebrows because mine grow back quickly so it would just be a waste of money for me. But of course, it depends on where you live.. there is a big desi community here and more competition so that's why prices are low. In other places, $20 is the norm.

I do it myself. I've tried cheap and expensive both...the cheap one was £3-5 and expensive one was £20. I felt no difference except the expensive one put this horrible cream on my face afterwards. And they give you this horrible star plus drama shape by making them so thin and evil...i like natural look so I decided to do it myself after that.

After watching Anastasia’s eyebrow video I never realized before how much eyebrows compliment or completely screw up how a person looks. They frame your face so the quality of work does matter. Eyebrows shouldn’t be over threaded or tweezed and they have to match duh.
I guess I’m still shopping around if I find my perfect eyebrow professional that gives good quality results, I might propose marriage

My eye brows are awful - they are SO assymetrical now - I used to have beautiful eyebrows then went to some cheap desi aunty for £3 and she messed my brows up so badly and they honestly have never grown back the same they are at full growth at the moment and i dont know what she did but the bit near my nose on one brow just never grew back eurgh.
I now pay £20 to go to a fantastic hygenic turkish lady in a well established salon who gives me 20 mins full attention some nice music and a professional attitude and its wort it

Not something I have ever done but a lot of my friends started seeing shavata when she first started gaining recognition. And from then on, it’s pretty typical for people to spend £15 - £30 on someone who is actually giving them eyebrows to compliment their features and not mess up the original brows too much. They can be maintained by careful tweezing for a while too.
The cheap salons here, usually desi, just thread and usually give everyone the same thin and arched brows.

I love my eyebrows. I like them on the thinner and defined arch side, hate hate hate the rounded/thick look I've had countless salon women give me.....just not my thang.

Yea, lots of 'wow your brows look amazing moments'. A few of them were regulars at Shavata in the early days. She started a trend, so there are plenty of other options for similar work because I don't know if she's any good now her brand has expanded.
Since you are getting married soon, I defo recommend growing out your brows and going to someone who will get them perfect for your day.
I don't think people realise how important eyebrow shape is. Just a couple of hairs present/not present where the natural arch is for example can change how your eyes/face look dramatically.

My brows are all grown out atm- have not been touched for 4 weeks. Thinking of visiting this lady as I will be in london on tuesday or could just stick to my turkish lady...hmm don't know yet

I am always scared to do myself because I think I might mess up the shape. I can do better on others face but not on mine.

I do them myself too!Mine aren't difficult to maintain. I like the natural look now,than having them overly thinned out,they always thin them out for me! :/

aap bahut talented ho. itni talent kash mujhe mein hoti. id be scared of taking out my whole eye brows. I agree the expensive ones just use expensive material and creams.

I have tried to maintain my own eyebrows myself using stencils from stores but I can never get them to be exactly the same on both sides and in the process of making them look the same on both sides I pluck too much off or cut too much off and they look too thin and cruela devil type stupid. If I could do them myself someone should pay me 20 bucks to do other people's eyebrows but I wouldn't inflict such cruelty on others because of that I kind of see why people pay a certain amount to get them to look good quality and professional.
good quality salons in the Georgia area? I am willing to test all of them out trial and error to meet my perfect eye brow person.
