Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

So you got married for sex and not because you loved your wife and wanted to spend your life with her?

Interesting.

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

Edal, a woman doesn't forgive man if she gives you her virginity and at the same time knows you slept with plenty of women before. Even if you told her, she will bite you sometime. According to Allama Iqbal and my own experience, a woman is an office where a man is answerable (it is from God). One of his poem says "Daftar mei hazir ho"

Zindagi hisab mangtee hai... it's a zero sum game

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

I felt true love for many things and at many times… true love is something worth dying for… right now i have only two true loves in my heart.

Firstly my dear wife who has sacrificed much by choosing to walk along the path of life with me…

And secondly i dearly love my country and all it stands for… it’s people, it’s culture, it’s history and it’s faith.

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

Soooo…your wife has been in the U.S. since the age of 10…currently 19, and according to you, has NEVER used hotmail or facebook. :hoonh: OK…sure…

You should get her father to post on the parenting forum on how he managed to keep his daughter so pure and sheltered (although if all you say is true, the only way that’s possible is if he kept her as a prisoner locked in a room until her wedding day). :halo:

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

Lol. give the dude a break.. ever since EDAL opened his divorce thread, most of us are judgmental towards every single words he says..

Most of the replies to his posts are about his "evil ex-wife" and his "virgin 19 yr old jewel of a wife", etc. C'mon guys, i think we r being a bit unfair. we shouldn't be quoting his wife and x-wife as mentioned. Its very disrespectful. I hope you guys understand what i'm trying to say..

He deserves a break, even tho his posts are contradicting at many times, but it seems like hes the talk of the town and the "coolest" thing to do these days at GS is pick on every single little tiny word he says.. we all say things that others dont like, we all give contradicting statements at one time or another, no biggie..

I dono, just my two cents..

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

True love for my car :jano:

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

Ok so how many people who get arranged marriages are deeply in love, and want to spend the rest of their life together, before they marry? That will happen with time.

How can you fall madly in love by meeting someone a few times with their dad sitting close by? Give your head a shake. Obviously the love will grow after the marriage, but you can’t expect to be madly in love on the day of the nikah.

In Pakistan usually the guy and girl will just meet once and their parents will arrange everything, do you mean to tell me they are “in love the day of the wedding”.

Its totally normal and healthy to want to have sex with a woman, Islam encourages you to marry when you have these feelings and can afford it. Otherwise you will be tempted to commit Zina, esp in the West when it is so easy.

Re: So how many of you have really felt love, true love?

Well in her house they kept their computer right in the middle of the kitchen, so their mom and dad could keep an eye on what their kids were doing. Her father is a sheikh and Imam. Also I think that facebook thing was in another thread, you seem pretty obsessive bringing up old things. Let it go.

A common misconception people have, that just because a girl is pure and Islamic that “she was locked away” not at all, my sis in laws know how to swim. One has a black belt, could probably beat up most guys. Just because a girl leads a halal Islamic life doesn’t mean you have to be “locked away”. Our local mosque has all sorts of programs for women. There are many beautiful pious Islamic sisters.

My older sister is also like that with her kids, all her kids are born and raised in New York city. However she is bringing them up in a very strict Islamic environment, no tv, no music, etc..they all go to Islamic school. There are some strong Muslim families in America. My younger niece is only 10 and MA already she wears full hijab and even puts on niqab sometimes. But that does not mean “she is locked away”, they go to six flags, they have fun, they just do it in a halal way.
