You need to unersatand there few things are different this time.1) MQM and Altaf Hussain has got some sort of warning from British government, and they are very much worried about it.2) FC is prodominiently pashtoon force, thus they would not be trusted in the current conflict. Would provide even more powerful popegenda tool.3) Punjabies are not involve in this conflict thus army could still manage to do better job, but they need a careful management not hurt genral population.In any case we seems to be agree1) Police should be ruled out in execution of a major operation (they could still provide intelligence support because they are the only agency has ground knowledge)2)either army or rangers should be more suitable to do the job, but one must analyze reason behind ineffectiveness of rangers so far.

Just read todays news that Altaf complained to zardari about reports government agencies providing to UK government about MQM.Moreover UK high Comm meet Ishrat Ul Ibad also fellow naturalized British citizen this week.Ir clearly show that British are doing something with Altaf Hussain.

Tell this to Gohar Ayyub who killed urdu speaking people the first time in 60s. Or to Sindhi nationalists who killed hundreds of urdu speaking people in 1980s in Hyderabad in Pakka Qila. Or to ANP who killed urdu speaking people in 1980s in Karachi in Qasba Colony and Aligarh Colony, similar to how they did just recently.

But it should be about some one. This recent acts of violence and killings are being done from Lyari. Who orchestrated Lyari gangs recently? It was PPP Sindhi nationalists, with axe as their national symbol.

Captain who has been opposing the military action and deweaponization in Karachi? Its been the MQM apologists. If ANP is doing it or PPP or MQM is doing it, the solution is to disarm and destroy the militants in Karachi, but some people feel that this will destroy their favourite party's strength.
If army was a solution then we wouldn't have lost East Pakistan, we would have good control over Waziristan, Baluchistan. If these are not good examples then one more operation will probably give another example for us to learn a lesson from. We all know army has always had a part in creating monsters while trying to kill one (which is never killed), so calling army in will really not serve the purpose.
