When President Musharraf came to power, he thought of promoting Baluchistan so that some ill feelings in Baluchistan against Pakistan get reduced. He gave first Baluch (Jamali) an opportunity to become Prime Minister of Pakistan. Zobaida Jalal became blue eyed woman and first Baluch woman from middle class to get appointed as federal minister of Pakistan (very few Baluch ever became Federal minister of Pakistan before Zobaida Jalal). Many development works were done in Baluchistan including Mirani dam, Kachhi kanal to provide fresh water to Baluchistan from Indus, Development of Gawder port, M25 motorway project, opening of many schools and educational institutions, bringing many areas into A-class by providing them access to police and court, etc.
Anyhow, Musharraf never realised that some snakes with corrupt blood were also living in Baluchistan, and thus he promoted a Judge (Iftikhar) from Baluchistan to Supreme Court in 2000 (as many SC judges took retirement when they declined to take oath on PCO in 2000). Later in 2005, again to promote Baluchistan, Musharraf promoted this lowly thug and corrupt Judge as CJ of Supreme Court, but once he got appointed as CJ, this corrupt judge started showing colour of his bad blood, spreading corruption, nepotism, misconduct and malpractices. Realising that he did wrong to Pakistan by giving them a thug as CJ, Musharraf tried to correct his mistake by initially asking Iftikhar to come clean or resign, and when he did not, Musharraf following the constitution by sending reference to SJC, though Musharraf did not realised that Pakistan is full of people who have corrupt mentality and love corrupt as CJ.
Nevertheless, this super corrupt judge loves his mentor (Musharraf), so much that even when he got his job back (promised to get his job back after retirement of Justice Dogar) he do not want to take oath but want that he should be get in the job of CJ on same oath that Musharraf took from him in 2005, as this corrupt judge maybe thug but seems that he is more loyal to his daddy Musharraf who made him CJ than terrorist thug Nawaz who can change his daddy (particularly Zia and generally Army) for personal benefit any day.
As for Lal-Masjid case, government of the time (President Musharraf and parliament) took most appropriate steps, without personal benefits, considering that step to be best for the country. If anyone would contest that action in court than they would have to prove that action was taken unlawfully for personal benefits, and not due to reason that it was considered best option in the eyes of those who were running the country. Obviously action was not taken unlawfully or for any personal benefits, rather it was most appropriate action taken for the benefit of the country. Actually, even if action would have been wrong (though it was not) than also government could not be made responsible because government take action according to their own thinking and what they consider best, not what someone else considers best. Anyhow, I think that government was too lenient with criminals of Lal-Masjid that they allowed them to break the laws for around 6 months without action and when action started, they should have got bombed as they were threatening the government that they could even do suicide attack if they were forced to stop their terrorist acts.
I think that anyone who even show sympathy to Lal-Masjid criminals should be prosecuted and should be put in jail for long term, as these people show their terrorist mentality and their loyalty does not lie with Pakistan but they are loyal to criminals and terrorists who want to ruin Pakistan.
