Re: Sleeping v/s movies
why not read something?
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
movies…in full volume. I hate the iron rattling sounds inside a plane.
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
What if one isnt an avid reader? but more so, how long can you read for? actually come to think of it, i have hardly seen people around me reading for that long on flights , occasionally seen people read at the boarding gates .
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
you go , girl :))))) , me too, I hate the noise around me
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
Sleep like a log. In fact I hate it if someone wakes me up before the flight lands.
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
LP , I found you , the sleeping on the flight species
and I have always wanted to ask this from the sleepy heads , how do you manage to sleep amidst all that noise and and disturbance … I had a lady next to me , sleep through 6 hours ! I so wanted to ask her , how she did it ! but , for fear of being considered a bell, I decided not to ask her !
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
If the book is interesting, I can read it for hours and hours. aur agar book boring ho to waise hi neend aa jati hai ![]()
I am sitting at the airport, waiting for my connection. About eight hours of journey left. I have my Samsung tablet with me, with almost two dozen magazines (popular science, popular mechanics, PC world etc) that I could not read in last 6 months (those are legit digital subscriptions). My kindle app has few unfinished books. And I have rented and downloaded two latest English movies and my wife transfered one Bollywood movie from her laptop to my tablet. All this is for today’s flight, and tomorrow’s return home journey.
What will I read/watch, or will I sleep is gonna based on what I feel like doing at that time. All my bases are covered.
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
Could be a number of reasons ; For starters I’m usually sleep deprived before I travel, then , I’m scared of flights so its easier to sleep through it than stay awake and feel anxious those hours.
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
I can’t read in a moving vehicle. I get a headache within 1 minute. I haven’t tried in a plane , but I guess it’d be the same.
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
sleep. best way to kill time. Either pickup something to read or watch movie…and 10mins in…im out!
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
Now if you had been travelling to pakistan, probably half of those machines would have gotten confiscated at the customs :)))) no kidding , last time I had my own laptop, my husband’s tab and my baby’s tab and they gave me hell at the airport ![]()
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
The night flights are particularly nice for those who love to read , its so quiet with more than half of the people and kids sleeping and a handful few enjoying peaceful hot drinks along with movies ![]()
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
Before it used to be movies but now reading. Usually anyway, depends on mood!
Cant read in a car or plane..I get a headache immediately. Same is for the movies in the plane/screens during travelling. I sleeeeeepppp
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
I try to sleep, but can’t. So then I end up watching movies or whatever tickles my fancy at that point. Then like 15 minutes before landing itni gehri neend aati hai ![]()
Re: Sleeping v/s movies
I watch movies throughout the entire flight - I can’t sleep. There’s something about being in a public place and having people see me when I’m not aware of it that freaks me out.
Half and half before i had a baby lol. I would start off watching movies and then fall asleep for a few hrs in between. Never more than 2hrs. This time travelling with my son i just watched movies the entire time while he slept.
You need glasses. I am serious. I had this issue too
