Sleeping v/s movies

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

I mostly watch one movie after another (usually horror) or read my book; I always make sure to get a book. I only get a few snatches of sleep. Don’t know how some people can sleep for hours during a long flight when I cannot remain in one position for too long.

or jub flight hijack ho jaye ya pata chal jayee koi khatra hay to phir Allah yad aa jata hai … movie bhi band or neend bhi phurr

Say (O Muhammad SAW): “Who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the sea (dangers like storms), when you call upon Him in humility and in secret (saying): If He (Allah) only saves us from this (danger), we shall truly be grateful.”

Scared the guy next to you might come real close to you and sniff your hair? :halo:

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

The key is to not sleep the day before or so. On my last trip to Pakistan, I did all my packing/last minute errands the night before the flight. Hardly got any sleep. Had work the next day and flight the same evening. So by the time I got on the plane, I was exhausted and slept like a baby through most of the flight.

Sometimes it’s also illness that can knock you out. This one time I was travelling back from Pakistan and I had very high fever. I took medicine and slept all the way back. My parents told the air hostess not to wake me for food.

Under normal circumstances though I do find it hard to sleep in the plane for more than a couple hours at a time. I watch movies to kill time.

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

That never works for me. I will be sleepless for 2 nights straight, I still can’t sleep in plane for a good 5 hours at least. Probably because I’m still high on adrenaline (packing, finishing things up, getting through customs, all that jazz). On the flip side, when I do come home, I’m out like a light at 8 pm. And that’s not jet lag fo’ sho.

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

I cannot sleep during travel. I do mix of movies + reading + listening to music.

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

lol I’m the opposite. The day I arrive (usually flight lands around 3am in lahore, right?) I don’t sleep the whole day. Too much excitement, too much to talk. So we unpack, distribute, eat, laugh, go shopping (yep, the day we get there), etc. Really helps with the jet lag.

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

sleep it is for me. My husband hates me for it … feels I abandon him in flight :cb:
what can I say … i am that tired. so i sleep. :bummer:

beore i got married/had a kid … i used to read on the plane. never slept.

Re: Sleeping v/s movies

Movies all the way.. it’s the only way.
