Skin whitening and lightening

Hi

Has anyone heard of or tried the nur76 product?

it is meant to really work? I want to buy it but not sure.

Have you had experience using skin whitening or cold creams?

it is on chalonline com chalshoppping site?

Pls let me know

thanks

Please don't use any such creams!

WHY would you trust a cream called nur76 placed on a website called chalo online? Skin whitening creams don't work.. don't waste money on them. Concentrate on improving u're complexion rathar than altering the color. :)

Re: Skin whitening and lightening

But how does one improve the skin when you have dark patches? under eyes etc? and the rest of the skin is fair. and there have been lot of good reviews about this, so i am ef going to purchase and try it out. but thanks i understand ur concern

Are u aware of the ingredients that go into it? :)

U can always go to a reputed derm and have is seen and get a medicine prescribed. Even I can mix a couple of creams into fair & lovely and sign-on with a couple of multi-nicks and rave about the product. It's u're decision and seems that u have made-up u're mind.

Re: Skin whitening and lightening

I used many cosmetic to make me look white. But unfortunately it does not work at all. And i used the skin whitening. Autually i think it is not nature on my face. I lose confident

Re: Skin whitening and lightening

alot of people use skin whitening creasm without any harmful stuff in there. all my cusins have gone from brown to white and its taken years..so you need to give it time as in a yr atleast. and they have got good skin, and its remained this way even after so many yrs....its some secret in pakistan which they refused to tell me....however ive got some pakistani face wshes and creams and they are greatt...they ar not made in pak. but in thailand and have nothing harmful in there.

Re: Skin whitening and lightening

i want to know the secret too.. anyone :)

The secret is a mixture of:

Fair & lovely
Arche
Retin A
Betonovate
Stillmans
Golden Pearl Cream

The above mentioned are mixed with amonia and hydrogen peroxide and this mixture is sold in Pakistan under various names, bottles, tubs and jars. This is known as the 7 cream, miracle cream, whitening cream, nur76 and so on..

The health factor:

Dr Naureen Zaheer, a skin specialist in Pakistan described this as a "lethal combination". "They have a very bad effect on the skin and make it thinner and more prone to disorders. It can cause acne, and could also have the reverse effect and turn the skin black," she warned. "The tissue becomes very delicate and can be damaged even if it is scratched."

The two main bleaching agents in the creams are ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. The ammonia can cause irritation and, according to skin specialists, this is what causes most of the reactions. Mild irritation results in redness. If it becomes worse, the skin can blister and burn. "The burn is usually superficial, but it can go deeper if you leave the cream on for too long," Zaheer said.

The dermatologist cited an example of a patient whose skin was ulcerated and prone to eczema, resulting in the face being covered in marks and blacks spots. "There have been patients whom I have referred to the plastic surgery department because the burns are so bad," she said.

^ Listen to Gina.

If you are darker skinned...........have some confidence in your natural skin color. The BIGGEST BENEFIT of being dark skinned is that darker skin ages slower and more gracefully than fairer skin provided that you take care of it.

Have you every noticed the skin of African Americans or Africans in general? They could be 70 years old and look like their 40 or 50 because darker skin tends to age better. Whereas fair skin is more sensitive to the damaging effects of the sun (wrinkles, age spots, sagging, etc).

And these creams are not going to make much of a difference on your skin anyways. Do you really think they will make your tan/sanwli complexion doodh jaisi chitti???????????? Do you really think you'll become super fair? The most that these creams will accomplish is to make your skin color 1/2 a shade lighter and that is not much of a difference. And as soon as you stop using these creams.....................you skin will become darker again.

Also, keep in mind that darker skin has more melanin. Melanin is the substance which protects your skin from the sun's rays. These "fairness creams" block the production of melanin in your skin. As a result.........your skin loses its natural defense system.......and will become more sensitive to the sun. In other words..........these creams might lighten your skin a little bit..................BUT they increase your sensitivity to the sun and thereby increase the chances for rapid aging and even skin cancer.

Ask yourself WHY you want to use this fairness cream? Is it because deep down you feel insecure about your skin color? If that's the case.........then this is a confidence problem. And a girl can be as white as milk...........BUT..........if she has ZERO CONFIDENCE........she wil not appear attractive to others.

On the other hand.............if you want to purchase a fairness cream because you have a few dark spots on your face.......................then stop right there. It's better if you go to a dermatologist who can prescribe a cream containing hydrqoquinone (HQ). HQ is a chemical that can lighten your spots/skin under the supervision of a doctor.

****************If you still choose to purchase "fairness" creams OR even if you decide to use an HQ product from the doctor.........................ALWAYS apply a good sunscreen 15-30 minutes prior to going outdoors during the day. Any skin lightening product needs to be used in conjunction with sunscreen.

Gina, I think you should create a general thread about the effects of these so called "fairness creams" with their over-the-top flowery names (golden pearl, fair and lovely, tibet snow, fairness snow, english snow, etc etc etc)........and false promises. And then you can put up this thread as a STICKY so that women who are interesed in "fairness creams" can go to this thread as a reference point before creating a thread. I find it interesting that women later create threads in which they complain about how offended they are that some stupid cow of an aunti/nani/cousin made fun of their dark skin. Ironically.......women in the younger generartion are part of the problem. As the saying goes*...................**"If you're not a part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem."* IF the darker skinned girls from the younger generation are silly enough to use these stupid creams............then it's pointless for them to complain about how they are looked down upon because they aren't fair enough. Using such creams is like surrendering to desi society's sick views about fair is superior. And buying these creams only fuels this erroneous belief while also making these businesses rich for products that are not even effective to begin with.

IF Allah wanted you to be fair..........He would have made you fair. It's no difficult task for HIM. Our society is obsessed with looking young (botox, restalyne, collagen fillers, etc).........and yet we're still obsessed with the skin color that has the LEAST benefits as far as aging is concerned. I'm not saying that darker skin is superior to fairer skin. All I'm saying is that you should appreciate the skin color you have and see the positive in what you have.

Re: Skin whitening and lightening

When will this obsession with gora rang die out? When will people figure out that healthy is better then "fair" and "skinny"???

Just so you know, gori chamri looks worse with acne and pimples.

Re: Skin whitening and lightening

Yep, Gina is right about those whitening creams. My sister tried one such cream 5 years ago and got a BAD reaction from it. Allah ks shukar kay there were no long-term harmful effects as she used it only twice, but I've heard stories where the minute you stop using those creams, you get permanent dark patches or some other weird permanent reaction.

There's really no safe way to get fairer than your natural skin color, but if you get easily tanned you're better off using sunblocks.

A tried and tested cream that I've used in the past is L'Oreal White perfect, it works on tanned skin very well. I used to tan easily and it worked wonders with me. Try that if you have a tan. At least its from a reputable company and not some home-made mixture that people have come up with.

LOL, I think NEVER. Goraas are all obsessed with getting tans and us desis are obsessed with getting gora. Insaan kissi haal mein khush nahin rehta.

So true, Reha. And that's what I meant when I say that these girls from the younger generation lose the right to complain that people make fun of them for their darker skin color........IF........they themselves are going to surrender by purchasing these creams. IF more and more girls were to become confident and stop buying these creams and give a karak jawab to pathetic comments about skin color from elders...........who knows.........maybe these companies who sell such creams would not profit so much from naive and gullible people.

I've heard that in India......the leading industry belongs to companies who make such creams.

I've even heard women say that "goray rang main mistakes chup jaati hain." Not so.........red acne will show up brighter than ever on fair skin. I've heard people say that "if you have a big nose, it'll conceal itself better on fairer skin." NOT SO............a big nose is a big nose no matter if it's sitting on fair skin or darker skin.

As far as makeup is concerned........I think darker skin has the upper hand because a variety of colors can be applied. Lime green/purple/hot pinks/electric blues/sunset oranges............all these colors in makeup (especially eyeshadow) look so much more vibrant and exotic on darker skin.

And I understand that the lines often BLUR when it comes to looks. If you're doing something to enhance your look (makeup, changing your hair color, piercings, etc)........that's not so bad. But if you're wishing to completely change what you've been naturally given just so that you can appease people in society...........that's wrong. You'll never succeed in pleasing everyone. And there's a limit to how far one takes their enhancing as well. I know a girl who has naturally beautiful brown eyes and wear hazel contacts 24/7. I've never seen her without her colored contact lenses. She's married, has a child, still wears them. And I remember how one day she became so upset that somebody had told her, "You're just an ordinary looking girl if it weren't for your colored lenses." Now those lens have become like a crutch she's so dependent upon. It's good to have some balance and moderation. One should feel comfortable enough in their own skin to go without makeup and other enhancements from time to time.

RV, I've warned them enuff times.. even I can mix a couple of HQ creams at home and register 101 multi-nicks and claim this cream will make u 12 shades lighter and earn big bucks. Girls who still go ahead after the warning and ruin their skin and PM me asking me how to reverse it annoys me.

Their skin they know better..I shud suggest detergent as a facewash, bleach as a toner and brake-oil as a moisturizer too.

Would it help to post such a thread on this topic as a sticky? That way girls who click on the fashion forum…can visit the sticky first…before deciding to create a thread on some “pale glow” “white heera” “chamakta chaand” "fairness cream.

What do you think?
