If you have time and wants to know what is the truth - watch all the episodes of this documentary (with sold evidences from the geological history of our earth and then compare it with the details given in the religious texts - you will know the reality.
One of the comments from there
“More people should watch these videos to realize how insignificant we are and that we should enjoy our lifes 'cause its such a big coincidence. Especially religious nuts…”
Allah is our Rabb and He wanted to make a creation that would recognize Him and His existence through their own creation and the creation of everything around them. For some that is easy to do, Alhumdolillah. And for more dheet and rebellious folks like yourself…your khopri never finds any araam…because you have to question everything…why is the sky not green? Why don’t we poop from our mouth instead of out our rear ends? Why don’t we have wings? Why did Allah allows this if He is in full power to prevent something? Blah, blah, blaabidy blaa. You see, even a chota sa bacha can come to terms with the notion that “These are my parents. And I need to obey”…but it is arrogant folks that can’t humble themselves to obey despite seeing the magnificence of creation around them. For such folks…there is an apt line from the Quran: Summ’mum bukmun umyun fahum la yarjiaaoon…meaning they are deaf, dumb, blind, they will not return to the straight path. There is a seal on their eyes, a seal on their ears, and a seal on their hearts…which causes them to go around in circles and not find any peace in any explanation.
See, there is a difference between folks who are TRULY confused about something and want clarification…and someone who is DELIBERATELY trying to turn people away from their religious beliefs. And you, sir, belong to the latter group. You have an AGENDA…it is quite clear. It will make your breathe easier, digest better, poop better…if you can get people to abandon Islam. It’s pretty perverse what you’re doing. It’s just a different form of fundamentalism, lol.
Alright I admit I am from the latter and I have an agenda too - look at our country now - where are we heading to with all this religious extremism - right now it is happening in Islamabad.
Correlation =/=Causation.
I’m sure in many societies when people introduce themselves as atheists they also get shunned by the people around them.
From your own source:
“It is important to keep in mind that atheism and agnosticism have no inherent proscription against suicide, so higher rates of suicide among agnostics and atheists should in no way be considered a failure of these belief systems. Indeed, compassionate tolerance for suicide and euthenasia are widely regarded as hallmarks of many secular societies. The list of countries with the highest levels of atheism, agnosticism and non-belief in God (see: Largest Atheist Populations, reporting lists by Zuckerman, 2005, and Greeley/Jagodzinski, 1991) strongly correlates with countries that have the most liberal (or “progressive”) laws, policies and practices regarding right-to-die, assisted suicide, and euthenasia for infants, the terminally ill, chronic pain sufferers, the handicapped, and depressed individuals. Zuckerman (2005) listed the top countries with the highest levels of atheism and non-religiousness as: Sweden, Vietnam, Denmark, Norway, Japan, Czech Republic, Finland, France, South Korea, Estonia, Germany, Russia, Hungary, Netherlands, Britain and Belgium (highest by level of non-belief, with Sweden being the highest).”
Japan is one country with a high suicide rates, and it definitely is not because a good chunk of Japan’s population does not really adhere to a religion.
**This reminds me of what Iblees/Satan said, He too used a “scientific argument” when he was ordered by Allah Subhanhu Wa Taala! to bow to Adam Elahisalaam!
Iblees’s Scientific Arrogance was that he was created from “Fire” and Adam was created from “dirt” Hence Iblis was better than Adam ES and was not going to obey.
So his pride got him in trouble…some people in this thread are making the exact same argument that their superior scientific knowledge is telling them that we believers are stuck in the past and all are mislead nauzubillah!
In the end what it all boils down to is it is a matter of Faith! you can believe science or you can believe the One who created his Universe and taught us humans science by the written word… “Ullamal insana bil Qalam”…to each his own!
This was the questioning phenomenon which lead Europe to explore new lands in the 15th century to come out of the tiny continent and conquer the lands beyond the Atlantic. Now they are heading to towards other planets soon.
Muslims are waiting for Imam Mehdi to come and rescue them.
lol @ “Japan is one country with a high suicide rates, and it definitely is not because a good chunk of Japan’s population does not really adhere to a religion.” come on, do you really call it something concrete?
we are not talking about how rich you are but about suicidal thoughts and suicide rate. Being rich is not an argument.
You claim you have helped many on this forum but are yourself afraid of answering question.
If you are not afraid of questions, let me know what is your purpose to discuss these things on this forum?
Well aimed question. @Mostar95, there are two absolutes, Muslim and Non-Muslim. You can be at either one, or, on the path to either one.
Quite evidently, you are a Non-Muslim. If you have established that Islam is not your faith, why would you want to occupy yourself with these discussions ? Unless you happen to be a person who feeds on conflict. Live and let live, perhaps ? If you are questioning Islam, which is not inappropriate, why employ this much of an irreverent approach ? A person who seeks knowledge and answers to promote their understanding is never so impertinent.
Whomst here is bringing up wealth? You pulled that out of your ass for some reason, even though I made no mention of it. I pointed out Japan because they are a non-religious country overall and they have high suicide rates. Their suicide rate can be attributed to a lot of things like their economy and its impact on the people, the phenomenon known as “hikkomori”](Why does Japan have such a high suicide rate? - BBC News), insane school pressures for children, among other things. None of which are religion.
So let me repeat again: Correlation = / = Causation
One cause for lower suicide rates in uber religious countries could be because suicide is a sin in Islam and Christianity which are the predominant religions in those countries which topped that list.
Purpose of life: Live life to the fullest until it is finally time to croak.
LOL, what was the argument there then? just those phrases like “It is important to keep in mind…”, “it definitely is not because…”
What we know is higher suicide rate is in those countries that are secular and communists. Lowest rate is in religious countries. Can you digest it? The link you shared say bullying could be reason, lol. I guess you dont even know a bit about how tough it is to study in madrasa, a religious school.
When there is correlation, causation can be there too. First you need establish reason of the correlation then answer that why those issue exist only in secular and communist countries. You also need to justify that causation is not there. just saying correlation is not equal to causation does not prove causation does not exist.
I literally just did that. I provided an insight into Japanese culture. It is not their lack of religiosity that is the reason for their high suicide rates. I even provided a reason for why lower suicide rates are present in extremely religious countries, so I was able to digest it and provide an explanation. All you can do is yak about “hurr durr look at all these non religious countries have high suicides rates it must be because they do not adhere religion herp derp” and then try to trivialize how arduous academics are in Japan and the pressure to succeed and conform.
You are acting like there were no explanations given and that I keep repeating “correlation =/=causation.” I even used your own source against you, but I guess if you ignore what I post you can continue to act like nothing was provided lmao.
Again,** from your own source
