Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

How easy it is to completely forget terrorist acts of PPP Lyari gangs and ANP in Karachi. Move away from prejudice and hatred, and call a spade a spade.

Actually, I am not sure if I really want to see PPP govt go. I really like Zardari's policies towards extremism in country. And I honestly think that he is the best person in this regard. My bone of contention is/was the attitude of Sindhi nationalists in PPP Sindh, people like Zulfiqar Mirza. It is due to such people that I wanted to see PPP govt go. But such people have now been sidelined by PPP higher-ups. For whatever reason, this is a positive development.
Also, MQM probably does not need to demand a separate province if LB system is established in the province. A new province would mean leaving Hyderabad at the mercy of Sindhi nationalists.

MQM also need to prove that it thinks beyond its base of Urdu speaking people. It needs to work for the prosperity of the whole province instead of just Karachi and Hyderabad. If rural places of Sindh develop than it will be good not just for those rural places but also for Karachi as well. If there are jobs available all across the province then there will be less demand from Sindhi nationalists for complete control of Karachi and Hyderabad. There will be less friction among people, less violence, and more concentrated development. I think it would be a win-win situation.

My biggest criticism of PPP is its total carelessness towards economic issues. This is why I had started a thread earlier about PPP govt's debt-bonanza which is causing inflation to go higher everyday. This situation should not continue. And here I believe MQM can play a positive role in advising and driving the government towards better decision making. A positive role as MQM played in the last budget.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Here we are:

Accept MQM's demands, they won't leave govt of PPP (mostly consisting of JAGEERDARS).
Get blackmailed by MQM, they won't demand a separate province (through wall chalking).

BTW, can you plz hilight MQM's positive role in last budget except for showing 'Aamana Sadaqna' response to PPP's policies that you criticized in your thread related to PPP's excess borrowing.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

ur hatred for Sindhis is quite obvious ... u r making it sound like .. we should kick out all the sindhis out of sindh province ... and mqm should take over the entire sindh ... according to you, sindhis are biggest threat to Pakistan ... i mean like seriously??? if zulfiqar mirza said something abt urdu speakin ppl, your master just settled the score by saying even worse things abt sindhis!! our country is in sad state cuz ppl like you defend criminals here like there is no tomorrow!! ...

and yes please tell us mqm=musalsal quami museebat positive role??

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Well said :k:

When Dr.Mirza made his statement, the MQM killed over a hundred unarmed, innocent people.

When Altaf made his speech, not a single person was killed by any Sindhi nationalist party.

It is obvious who is the criminal, the biggest killer of innocents.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Well said mqm=musalsal quami museebat.About positive economic moves and support, we all know how much Karachi was affected economically (due to strikes by MQM in between their Talaq and Halala with PPP in one months period) besides loss of hundred innocent lives. If they are that concerned for country's economy and sincere to public (who is already badly affected by inflation) they shouldn't indulge in routine strikes when not in power.

I salute Marvi Memon who stood up for public and resigned from National Assembly on budget matter, but MQM accepted Budget like Naooz Billah it was some heavenly relvelation. MQM will call action taken of Marvi Memon (stand for public matters instead mere statements) as political suicide.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

A valid question by ANP.

And reasons behind this.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

I wonder if you are even Muslim, because here you are making fun of Islamic concepts. But anyway...
Calling names only proves intellectual childishness of old kids.

If you are so concerned about Karachi's economy then why don't you raise voice against PPP's support of bhatta-khor gangsters in Lyari? Or Talibanic killers of innocent urdu speakers in Qasba colony?

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

I think you were supposed to post all that cr*p on some other forum, because no one here said anything like that.

Oh really? What "worse thing" did Altaf say?
Altaf was responding to Mirza's abuse of all urdu speakers. And he was addressing Mirza and co. in that statement. It was not a blanket statement against all Sindhi speaking people in general.

This is in contrast to Mirza's hate-filled statement against urdu speakers. And also don't forget Shahi Syed's blanket statement as well. Do you want me to remind what he said?

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

It seems the strike was a success.

Maybe next time the MQM terrorist blackmailers ‘leave’ govt, Zardari will think twice about appeasing the MQM criminals.

*Complete strike observed in Sindh
**
** All markets, shops remained close in Karachi and other cities of the province * Rallies also taken out in many cities and towns; 180 activists of nationalist parties detained

KARACHI: On the call of the Save Sindh Committee (SSC), a complete strike was observed on Saturday across Sindh province, including Karachi against the revival of Sindh Local Government Ordinance (SLGO) 2001 and for the restoration of commissionerate system in the province.

All business centres and markets were closed in these cities, while public transport remained off the roads.

Rallies and protests were also staged in many cities and towns of the province, including Karachi, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Moro, Kumb, Khairpur, Dadu, Jamshoro, Matiari, Makkli, Ghharo, Mithi, Sanghar, Sakrand, Nawabshah, Bandhi, Larkana, Dokri, Garhi Yasin, Ratodero, Mehar, Naushehro Feroze and Thari Mirwah.
Nationalist parties claimed that during their peaceful protests, 180 workers were arrested. They demanded of the government to release them.

In Karachi, all markets, including Jodia Bazaar, Sadar, Boulton, Kharadar, Tariq Road, Jamia Cloth, Clifton, Park Tower, Saba Commercial, Hyderi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Lee markets remained closed.

The strike call was also supported by the National People’s Party, Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Fazl Awami National Party and Sunni Tehreek (ST).

SSC announces consensus conference: Coordinator SSC Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah and member Dr Safdar Sarki will organise a consensus conference on the sovereignty of Sindh and revival of commissionerate system in the province on August 21.

Addressing a press conference at the Hyder Manzil Karachi, Shah said that the SSC had called for a peaceful strike and people had observed it.

Replying to a query, he said that they were thankful to the people of Sindh, including the businesses community, transporters and Urdu and Pashto speaking people for playing their role in making the strike successful.
Terming it a referendum against the SLGO 2001 and in favour of the commissionerate system, he said that the people of Sindh had given their decision through the strike.

Sarki said the rulers had used all tactics to foil the strike, adding that they arrested over 180 workers of the Sindh United Party, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Jeay Sindh Tahreek, Awami Tahreek and Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party from all over Sindh. He demanded of the government to release the arrested workers with immediate effect.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Yes by burning people alive in Kemari!

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

??????????????

I haven't heard anything like that

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

If AHs statement was not blanket and targeted to only Mirza & party then Mirza's statement was against wall chalkers demanding Muhajir Sooba. Don't try to support your saint leader as if he got immunity for saying what he likes against Pakistan and against Sindhis.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Molvi Sb, I didn't make fun of Islamic concepts, I just compared MQM separation and reunion with terms Tallaq (separation) and Halala (Re-union).

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Well, you are using Islamic concepts here only in a mocking sense.
That creates doubts whether you are a Muslim.

It is ok if you confess being a non Muslim.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Mirza had a blanket statement. You are giving the excuse about his statement regarding wall chalkers alone. But even Mirza did not say it in his apology. Altaf did say that he was only referring to Mirza and his affiliates. If you listen to Altaf's statement then he starts by saying "ye jo Sindh mein taanay de rahe hein hamein, aaj Sindh ke waris banay hein...".
This is not a blanket statement involving all Sindhi speaking. It shows that Altaf was talking about those who are abusing urdu speakers, that is, people like Mirza.

On the other hand, Mirza's statement encompassed all urdu speakers. He was not referring to a few personalities or even to MQM.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

These Sindhi Nationalists and ANP terrorists are really an amazing bunch. Calling a strike before Independence day and creating mayhem all over Sindh on Independence Day. Granted both these groups don't consider themselves much of Pakistanis either but atleast have some respect. These Sindhi Nationalists are the same ones who sit on the ground while their master jaagirdar waderay sit on the sofas in front of them.
Local government System is truly democratic but these ANP and Sindhi Nationalist thugs know that Karachi and Hyderabad will elect MQM so for them Commissioner System is best. The masters (Jageerdar Waderay) of Sindhi nationalists slaved the Brits in Colonial times when Commissioner System was present and now these Sindhi nationalists want to bend over and slave for the feudals.
You Sindhis can keep your local population poor and illiterate through this commissioner system but please do not impose it on the educated people of Karachi and Hyderabad. The division of Sindh is near and we will not rest until Sindh is divided.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Don't try to be tableeghi. Who are you to judge my Islam. Mazhab ke thekedaar banene ki koshish mat karen and be on topic.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

Don't try to support wrong statements given by anyone whether with context or not. If Mirza's statement was wrong, then AH's statement was not like throwing flowers on Sindhis. BTW, Mirza started talking about crimes of AH and then he started talking about division of Sindh (which was no more than wall chalking) and then he started commenting history in which he believed. AH was no different in his speech, he started with Mirza and then couldn't resist himself showing his hatred for Sindhis.

Re: Sindhi nationalists rejection of LB system may lead to end of PPP govt

What an expression of hatred. BTW, Commissioner system is very much there in three provinces, so what do you think they also want to keep their ppl poor and illiterate. One more question, what difference LG system made towards educating and enriching ppl of Sindh?

Division of Sindh is not that easy matter keeping in view the fact that the party you support couldn't even come up with an open demand of Division.
