PPP is in dilemma. It needs MQM’s support to save their government in the center. Hence agreement on LB system. But extreme reaction from Sindhi nationalists may eventually pressure PPP to back up from this deal with MQM and abolish LB system in Kar and Hyd.
But dilemma is that it could result in PPP completely relying on PMLQ to save its government. But in fact PMLQ is very unreliable for PPP.
So:
PPP take back local government act when pressured by Sindhi nationalists.
MQM leaves government and stops supporting PPP on federal level.
PMLQ develop differences with PPP and stops supporting PPP government.
PPP government GOES.
This scenario can come true even after new elections.
Now PPP has to choose between MQM and Zulfiqar Mirza’s ideological brothers (Pakistan na khappay).

Actually this system is now better but who are Babar Awan and Ishrat to do this all.
This would be better done making whole Sindh assembly a committee and a detailed discussion to find a proper way for a better future of the people.
The system restored in Karachi could be done in much better way.
However poor democracy is working and opening the ways.

and whn this news reached khi, Urdu Speaking ppl went into the streets and burnt cars and houses, looting shops and killing people ... 60-65 sindhis were killed!

Altaf has called Pakistan the biggest blunder in history, and the MQM have been taking Indian guns and training to destablise Pakistan for many years.

Did I use word 'Refugee', it is your saint kaka AH, who always raise issue for taking refuge in India, whenever, he can't get his favorite toy (i.e. part in power).
Calling partition a blunder before Indians and giving statement against two-nations theory is the biggest service AH has done for Pakistan.

Khoji also forgot that during those dark days of late 80s, many Sindhis were also killed and looted by MQM racists in Latifabad Hyderabad.

I think the local bodies govt was good idea. Peoples problems can only be solved by people who know them at local level & not by people sitting in Islamabad. Let us have genuine local govt system w/o federal/provincial interferences and give them taxing power to sustain the govt system at local level.
