Re: Sindh Through Centuries!

But punjab has pulled ahead especially if you see faislabad, sialkot, gujranwala. It wasn't long ago that hyderabad used to be the third largest city in Pakistan, but now tons of punjabi cities have come ahead with industrialization and the resultant boon in population.

KP could go ahead as well if PTI delivers in the province.

Balochistan can be developed well (has much but low population base) so this just leaves interior sindh as a developmental and economic black spot in Pakistan.

Re: Sindh Through Centuries!

Its the vicious cycle that surround Sindh. Otherwise, it got potential and resources to get developed. The situation was not like that. People raised against atrocities in past and they will definitely show the same reaction if not because of conviction then by frustration.

Re: Sindh Through Centuries!

so back to past, unfortunately there is limited knowledge available for the period in between vedic era and Arab conquest about Sindh.

So How was the situation in Sindh just before arrival of Muslim invaders? Were people of Sindh oppressed and therefore they helped the outsiders to get rid of cruel rulers?

Re: Sindh Through Centuries!

My personal belief is that the same oppression had prevailed in Sindh.Even with Muslim ledares,it was not abolished and still prevails.I think it is a continuing story.

Re: Sindh Through Centuries!

Bro,I consider him a hero but a hero who bungled his chances.Because he stayed back in his territory despite pleas from several quarters and inspite of having many chances either to proceed towards his eastern boundaries and seek help from any other prince or seek asylum or he had had chances to save his family members from a total destruction but he stayed back and also his family because he said the condition of his noblemen and his thakurs and their families were of the same.

On the other hand, had he adopted a different line,he could have staged a counter attack later or he could have saved his life and his people.

I consider him a hero because he fought for his land and his people.
