Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

And then some Karachiites and people of smaller provinces would still blame the federal government, ‘establishment’ ‘big brother’ you name it for all their ills. What about the accountability of your own respective CMs and provincial governments? PPP has been in power in Sind for 7+ years. The CMs of Sind and Balochistan are arguably amongst the most unintelligent, lazy and incompetent politicians that we have currently. They are totally useless. I am not saying PML-N is not corrupt but Shehbaz Sharif is at least proactive and seemingly doing something good in his province in general and Lahore in particular. And do not use the federal government excuse. NS was not in power at the centre when SS built the metro bus in Lahore. As they say ‘where there is a will there is a way’

Thanks to the rangers peace is slowly returning to Karachi but it is not really the job of the army but the provincial government and Karachi police. It is another matter that our police is so politicized, corrupt and incompetent. Present PML-N is better than present PPP imo. And although metro bus projects (however will help many low income workers such as office peons and security guards who commute daily to work from Pindi because Islamabad is so expensive to live in) should not be among any government’s first priorities (I would have liked to see more money allocated for health and education in the recent federal and provincial budgets), PML-N has at least done something good for the country (motorway etc.). Governance wise the last 5 years of PPP government were easily the worst in our country’s history. It was a completely nalaiq and directionless government. bas keep mentioning your slain leaders aur masses (read emotional fools) ko aur ulloo banao

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

All guns are towards Sindh because Malik Riaz is making big money there and everyone is in hope of share , wanted to get more .
Where do you live the kids ?
This is all game of money
No national interest involved
If you go to media , those are just puppets
remember last years coverage of TuQ & IK
Now they forgot both
Kia aap lgon ka koi jannay wala Pakistan resident naheen hay
Kabhi poochh kar to dekho

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

What has Malik Riaz got to do with Governance in Sind?

And Malik Riaz is no saint either, He recently admitted in an interview that he has given bribes to both politicians and establishment in the past because that is the way of life in Pakistan!

But he is at least being honest about the reality of life in Pakistan..

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

The Full Malik Riaz Interview

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

In this interview he told that he beard some expenses of IKs Dharna
He also said no comment on paying money to TuQ
He is the king
12-14 generals to us kay direct mulazim hain
Baqi ............

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Watch carefully. He or his organisation did not bear the expenses of dharnas, merely fed some of the people who attended the sit-ins. If anything Malik Riaz was against IK and TUQ dharna.

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

CM KPK is also a useless fellow

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Sind Government recently presented a budget of more than Rs 700 billion. Population of Sind is 30.5 million
Punjab's budget was around Rs 1200 billion. Population of Punjab is 101 million

so compared to Punjab, Sind has more money per capita to spend on development projects, yet vast areas of Sind (apart from Karachi and one or two other cities) are underdeveloped compared to Punjab... which means sab paisa kha pee jaatey hein yeh wadere aur politicians...

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Sindh is more rich Produce now almost 55-60 of gas
Same figures of crude oil
Self sufficient in all crops vegetable and fruits except few cold area items
Mismanagement and past created by agencies rift among people was disturbing but hope after surviving from present attack of forces of Takht e Lahore & West India Company , this province will able to help Bhookay nangay people directly

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

First step in solving any problem is recognizing there is one. Granted that they are no saints but blaming everything on establishment helps no one. What about the accountability of the federal and respective provincial governments. All politicians both at federal and provincial levels need to clean up their act. Corruption, nepotism and violent extremism are the three main ills of our society not to mention illiteracy and backwardness of our masses.

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Actually we need a national dialog
A new social political regional and also cultural contract
These killing and conspiracies should be ended now
Limits should be decided and there should be no holy cow
We have big issue of black money and I see no one among known 100 % clear except Ch Nisar , but Ch nisar also not a good leader .
IK can not make any good example , very poor show in KPK
I am saying since long that era of Shareefs IK Altaf & AAZ is not required any more
All of above having big money and also many Generals other politicians bureaucrats and frauds like Malik Riaz
There should be some good way to bring that money in circle back

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Ranger were not empowered to do the police job that they are doing now. It only happened with in 1.5 years and everyone agrees that law and order situation has improved in Karachi. Now, the question is, should we build on whatever improvement we have made or should untouchable political criminals be allowed to derail whatever progress has been made? To me, it seems, logical thing is to continue going after the killers w/o fear of favor.

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

I will reiterate my old point umpteenth time, if we really want to improve law and order situation ANYWHERE in the country it is POLICE that needs to be empowered and CUT political influences. Rangers/army operation to cleanup such criminal environment is like US cluster bombing (they rely way too much on local intelligence). It is police's job which needs to be carried out on regular basis instead of a patch fix here and there occasionally by rangers/army. Police reforms are the need of hour, not army or rangers.

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

you and I can wish, that is all. After 1990s I thought same but 2000s came to be a different story.

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Never been an operation quite like this one.
Never had an army chief quite like General Raheel!

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

Right.

Rangers had issued a massive report in front of Apex Committee highlighting the role of Police in facilitating target killings and fostering criminals. Now what has Provisional or Federal Government has done about that? What is the solution and who's going to provide it? Who's going to fix police?

It is far too easier to treat Rangers/Army has punching bag to divert attention from the real cause, but how about for once, we pay heed to what they're saying? In ideal world, an eight year old would now that we need Police Reform (along with million other reforms in the country), but be honest and ask yourself that who is going to bring those Reforms?

Whose job is to bring those reforms? Again, far too easier to turn around say no and discredit Army and say we don't need their service while they are the only one who are providing some relief. Only relief and much needed relief.

Re: Sindh Govt: Facing Corruption Charges Hundreds Banned From Leaving Pakistan

I simply don't trust army/rangers operating as law-enforcement in a city, they are not trained for it, they should not be attempting to act like one. We have seen "Jinnahpur" in past, we have seen MQM being helped to rise to a monster, then we saw MQM-H taking reign in certain parts of city with help of rangers. Army/rangers have been working as power brokers/players/makers for long time in Karachi. It simply is NOT their job to be in the city. If army is really interested in fixing things then it should take proper routes.
