Re: Sindh Assembly passes resolution against division of Sindh
[EDITED.. NO PERSONAL INSULTS ALLOWED]
Imran talks about democracy and yet there have been no local body elections in KP. You talk about provinces / administrative units and yet it was “no” in sindh NOT a “yes, but…” situation. It seems imran says something to urdu / english (especially) media while the party is following some other agenda. Either the party doesn’t share imran’s view or, as I increasingly believe now, imran is a hypocrite.
PS Sindh would never divide, since karachi serves as an offloading point to hand out jobs to party loyalists from the interior of sindh. There, I said the dirty words now. Multan is at least something, so a southern punjab province can happen economically, while a sindh even with hyderabad in it would collapse on itself. This is the same reason that karachi, lahore etc would never get any real authority or a decent local govt system because they are pet fiefdoms for certain “national” parties.
The only way forward for Pakistan is down and it would involve lots of death, disease, and starvation since Pakistan neither spends on infrastructure like dams / canals nor is there any viable health system in Pakistan. Perhaps the heaps of dead bodies would spur some grassroots societal action for change in pakistan.
