So are you a rishta aunty?
Just because hta'ts how "others" perceive it , it doesn't mean you should, unless tha'ts how you believe.
by constantly emphasizing on their lack of (in your books) looks and lack of education (seriously, a nurse is equivalent of a HS-dropout?) , you are reducing the value of these women.
Seriously, who in the world are you to say that someone can do better, just by looking at them?
No Im not a rishta aunty and i dont know why my post in response to the OP's question is getting that much criticism. I think the point i wanted to get across to her for her friend's situation is pretty clear and i stand by it. I am not trying to belittle anyone; Just laying out facts as i see them. You can read and if you disagree you can just carry on! just chill and lets not get way off topic on this :)
Thank you all for your feedback. I have talked to my friend today and she has told me she's going to get engaged to him. I brought the topic up but she said her family already questioned him about it. It's not just the greencard factor but lots of other factors as well which are wrong with him. But thank you all very much:) Hey we can't change the world or people's decisions. Inshallah it'll go well for her..greencard or no greencard.
I was just discussing the same thing in other thread and showing my cocern over there.
Me & My Twin brother never thinks like this .... My brother get engaged with my cousin in UK and she also said to live in Pakistan. I ve always debate with my brother that he is not doing good to get married with her and think that she will live her in Pakistan but i don't know what will be result but my prays are with them.
Even me don't wanna settle abroad and wants to stay in my home town but i know i can't stay over there becoz of my job ..... I have opportunities to get married in abroad but i am afraid bcoz I'll cut off from my homeland. I love to stay with my friends, parents, relatives. Aanyway its depend on the nature of boys and yes most of boz are mad abt abroad.
