Well the white ones are ras gullas. Cham chams come in different colors, white, yellow, pink etc. And yes they are grainy. And the cham chams I made were grainy too. But they weren't sweet,despite the fact that I cooked them in the sugar syrup for 8 minutes etc.
Right, so research tells me that rasgulla and cham cham are apparently the same things just the difference in size and color ...
My boss is going to strangle me today coz everytime she comes around I am printing rasgulla recipes !
I have five of them now .... and inshallah will sit down and analyze the best one out ,try it and share with you soon ..

One thing i am thinking, perhaps it would help slightly if some sugar is added in the gulla mix ... coz that will bring it some sweetness , it can be hard for the cheese to absorb all that sugar ... but lets wait and see ...
