I 2nd Buskill Falls - so nice for hiking and pictures by the main falls area
If you want to go rafting go up the river from del water gap. The views are magnificent and it's about a 2-3 hour run depending on how fast you can paddle
yep yep - planning for this year too.. for both places
This the area in upstate I was taking about - a nice getway in any season beause they have sooo many activites like horse back riding, mountain climbing and biking and for the girlie - it has a SPA (yeah!)
We were in New York just recently - spent 4 days there on the way to LA
We took a tour with gotobus.com and they pretty much have a day tour for $20 per person and they show you everything. We had things like Wall St/UN/Times Square/Manhattan...we also did a cruise on the Hudson, visited the Air/Sea museum - you get to go on concord that is on display there. The day tour was good as we had done our shopping in Manhattan the day before so we were just looking at sighseeing for a day.
Hmm I love rafting, but I am planning a trip for 3-4 families, all ranging from little babies to senior adult anti/uncle group...so really looking just for a nice picnic spot, more so than activites like rafting etc. So I guess I can cross off Bushkill falls as I am pregnant and cant do the hike up n down the stairs and then around to the mini falls, it is nice though.
Anyone know of any nice place that is midway between NJ/PA?
Branch Brook Park, in Essex County (belleville, newark, bloomfield)
Branch Brook park is much nicer than DC. The story behind the cherry blossoms is wonderful. Every year we have photography meets at the park, it is a huge event.
Afro you can still find sum blossoms in Brooklyn Gardens, NYC. The festival was in the 1st week of May thou. But you can still go there, the roses are blooming right now
