Sialkot Family Trust Fund

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

I thought about that too. May be they’re not in need of money. Anyway, we’re willing to donate and the easiest way would be to collect the money on GS and send it to them through Spock’s uncle.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

hareem01 - you should go an visit them anyway.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

^But I'm there just for a week....but i'll try.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

Regarding this, I was watching boys’ father’s interview. He said we are pretty well off financially. He said I own a small textile mill in Faisalabad. I have few brothers that do pretty well too. I am sure they are not rich people but from what he said, I am assuming they are not needy or poor.

We should find out if they need financial help, what if they get offended?

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

^I think in that case as TLK suggested we can ask them to donate it to a charity of their choice.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

I personally feel, going and seeing the family, tell them how the whole nation feel for them, give them shoulder to cry, give a hug and assure them that we are with them and we feel the same way as they are feeling today. Our hearts are crying with their hearts.

Give them dalasa and sabbar, read fateha, and do duaa for the boys, will make them more happy and may be make them feel a bit better at this very very hard time they are going thru.

May be a GS guppies group, who can easily afford to travel to Sialkot, arrange a meeting with the family and convey them messages from all we guppies, from around the world?

Plus we can also do Quran Khawani for the boys on GS. Hows that?

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

The purpose for the funding/compensation is Islamic for those who feel it is odd to give money. The families of people who have been murdered are sometimes reimbursed by the accused i.e. they are required to give diya to compensate - asking the family to donate to a charity of their choice is not the right move. Help them with our words, our duas and with money ... two sources of potential income have been taken from them. I however agree a single donation might be better than trying to commit for a number of years. Although it is very noble if someone would 'foster' the girl for her educational costs.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

People in Sialkot are generally 'extremely' rich, the sports export business along with the surgical tools they send out is very lucrative. I wouldnt be surprised if the family turns down this offer.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

I am in.

I want spock to be the president too.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

If it is the case that the family are not really poor, it is still unfair that this has happened to them. Would it be better to set-up a memorial or provide money to get the best lawyers to ensure that the killers are prosecuted and convicted. Perhaps a few wells could be built with the names of the two brothers on them. I don't know how can we make the family feel better?

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

So I spoke with my cousin about this 'Trust Fund'. He says the family is alright financially so they aren't looking for money. They're looking for justice. I guess we could all write letters/emails/comment to any organization that can lend support. Although this idea is pretty good for any other families that might need help.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

^That was smooth, wasn't it?

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

:k:

What do we need to do to start a trust fun in Pak? Count me in for monthly contribution.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

As much as this is a wonderful idea, if I was in the families position the only thing I would want right now are the killers found and stoned to death.

I cant even begin to imagine what she must be going through.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

^ Ya well I think every one here would want the killers stoned but better do what we can rather then sitting and cursing ...

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

As in? I'm not sure what you're trying to imply.

As I mentioned, they're relatives of one of my cousin's friends. I asked my cousin about their background and if a Trust Fund sounded like a good idea. He spoke to his mate and they're like they just want all the involved people brought to justice. They're not in need of financial assistance but more to do with influence and awareness so that it doesn't just fizzle away into oblivion like almost all the other similar instances of so called vigilante justice.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

Hmmm.....I don't know how much we can help with their desire to find justice.
Perhaps someone could design a webpage and put it up to spread the word and see to it that media is directed to it.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

I was also thinking that what if we support some lawyers that provide legal help to people who have suffered police brutality.

Re: Sialkot Family Trust Fund

how many trust are you going to create? Here is another story of barbarism

they dont need trust funds..literally how many days a man can survive with few pieces of paper…they need knowledge, security and justice.
