I think thinkig about it may not be too helpful. Sometimes, you analyze yourself way too much that it can get in your way.

I’m an introvet. A few years ago I was pretty much in a shell, and that used to bother me. But ever since starting uni and working it’s pushed me to come out of my shell and be confident. I can happily start a conversation with a stranger [a friendly-looking one preferably]. With those I know I can go on for hours talking about everything and anything. In group situations I still like to take a back seat and let others do the talkign but I’m happy with that.

But if you really do want to come out of it, may be getting a self-help book could be helpful. Or give your self little challenges, like start with smiling at a stranger, than saying hello to someone you don’t know, then perhaps exchanging a few words with someone.[a friendly-looking one preferably]

Yup thinking too much can confuse but this whole discussion actually did help me identify the problem… so yeah…
I prefer taking on a leadership role in a group actually but only if asked otherwise I’d be more like the shadow king anyway… it’s because i am more comfortable giving tasks rather than taking them
I do talk quite a lot around friends… am quite comfortable around them naturally. The challenges tip could actually be very helpful. Thanx
