I feel really bad for those victimised women, rape victims etc. but if we support these hymen repair procedures we’re kind of condoning that part of culture that says it’s ok to check a new bride has bled on her wedding night and the ridiculousness of it all when we should be condemning it. If a girl has had sex and is worried about what her husband or his family might do if they find out she should not be marrying him in the first place, imo if she is being forced than the police should get involved.. Not being a virgin then having to ‘cover it up’ in the face of a stupid illogical backward custom does not make sense to me..
