I posted how the Khimar means cloth and how it can be interpreted as a traditional head dress or just as “cloth”. I cited Fatima Mernissi’s work which I’ve read myself. There are others but won’t quote them because haven’t read them first hand myself.
I showed the lack of Hadith regarding punishments for women not covering their hair.
Multitudes of ayats describing what you need to get into heaven in a nutshell. And a scrap of cotton on your head isn’t one of them.

A clear Hadith describing what should be covered and face isn’t one of them.
Clear ayats that refer to “bosom” and broadly “ornaments” as areas to be covered. Face is never mentioned in the Quran.
In all the rebuttles I’ve seen here, no one has posted an ayat or Hadith that states face MUST be covered. Some Hadith here and there that mention this was a practice of Aisha R which seems to be more security related based on the historical context.
So onus is on you guys. If you think it is necessary to cover the face, where is the proof?
I think the biggest is where the Quran outright tells women they need to be recognizable in public. I don’t know how one could go against that. Quran publications translated under influence of Saudi or Wahabbi followers actually has different translations on this. Yusuf Ali, Pickthall predate the rise of SA as a country so they’re way more reliable and recognized as very reliable translations.
So check where your translation is coming from. Most of what you find today is actually Wahabbi influenced translations.
Non-niqabis are not a minority, we are a majority. Percentage wise only small numbers are covering their faces.
Again to remind people I’m not talking about hijab although the Quranic verses I’ve described don’t mandate a head covering. The Hadith I’ve mentioned does. But that’s as a recommendation from Muhammad SAW and he certainly did not persecute women who didn’t cap their hair or who maybe had half their head showing or locks of hair showing under their head dress. No mention of these things at all which Muslims today make it an end all be all issue.
He certainly didn’t tell people that didn’t cover as much as others that their iman is incomplete or flawed. As people today openly do on Facebook.
Again, if you guys feel this is such an obligatory aspect of Islam then YOU present the proof. Absence of such commands is actually proof, not the lack of proof.

And all that I posted in this post has been posted repeatedly. By bullying me into reposting, it’s a simple bully tactic to frustrate the poster. You’re not actually interested in hearing the other perspective.
And if I am in the minority, I celebrate that. Muhammad did say that at the end of times, true believers of the faith would be in the minority.
